One of the shows I’ve been enjoying the most this anime season is Love Unseen Beneath the Clean Night Sky. My love for that anime aside, it made me ponder accessibility and dubbing relentlessly. I rarely watch English-dubbed anime. But I still have my vision and most of my hearing. What about otaku who don’t? Dubs are essential for people with perception issues. And that’s why I’m smitten with OceanVeil for announcing that Overflow will get an English dub release.
We all know that most anime doesn’t get dubbed. And most of the titles that do get a dub are big-name or big-production shows. Ecchi titles don’t usually get them. Even more, official hentai dubs were a rarity. I only remember Anime Onegai dubbing stuff, and those were in Spanish. But OceanVeil has been treating adult content with the love it deserves, and now Overflow is getting that treatment.
While OceanVeil announced that Overflow is getting an English dub, it didn’t say when. However, the company did announce the VAs — the lead cast includes:
- Elizabeth Ryan as Ayane Shirakawa (#BESTGIRL)
- Mana T. Johnson as Kotone Shirakawa
- Ryan Hoyle as Kazushi Sudou
Alongside that welcomed piece of news, OceanVeil also announced that Love from Above (What She Fell on Was the Tip of My Dick) will also get a dub. That dub will premiere on August 8 at 3:00 pm (EDT), and its VA’s include:
- Ty Wilkins as Sosuke Aikawa
- Jingle Deleon as Suano Unyuu
- Carter Wescott as Yuki Shimizu
- Jeula Agbayani as Yuzu Hanazono
Overflow Deets
Studio Hokiboshi adapted Kaiduka’s hentai manga, Overflow, into an eight-episode original net animation. ComicFesta Anime aired the show as part of their winter 2020 line-up. Like most ComicFesta shows, Overflow has a censored TV broadcast version and a cultured version. WWWave Corporation publishes the English translation of the manga as My Brother’s Slipped Inside Me in the Bathtub on Coolmic. You can watch the cultured version of the anime on OceanVeil. But if OceanVeil’s not available where you live, we stock the uncensored Blu-ray.
Haven’t watched Overflow. Don’t know what it’s about?
Kazushi Sodou is a man with a problem. Despite living on his own, quiet days elude him. No matter what he does, his childhood friends Ayane and Kotone are always at his house. And they’re always pestering him. Somehow, someway, after an argument, Ayane decides that the best way to get her revenge on Kazushi is to join him in the bath. But with her and Kotone’s bodies rubbing against him, it’s only natural that Kazushi would overflow!
