Only the best sort of anime waifus have beauty, grace, and incredible battle prowess. There are also comparatively few tanned swordswomen in anime, and they must be protected and admired. I’ve seen the numbers: cultured otaku like tan girls, so let’s take a look at a few of them who wield swords in battle.
1. Blossom (Chillin’ in Another World with Level 2 Super Cheat Powers)
Blossom is one of the more recent tanned swordswomen in anime. Her anime series is set to premiere soon. Blossom is a member of Balirossa’s party and serves as one of the party’s front-row fighters. She lives in a truly awful world if men are put off by her strong muscles and tomboy-like behavior.
Miya Kinojo first released her novel Level 2 Cheat Powers to Shosetsuka ni Naro between 2016 and 2019. Kinojo began working with Overlap to adapt the series to a light novel format alongside the artist Katagiri. As of December 25, 2016, they have released fifteen volumes.
2. Mimiru (.hack//SIGN)
Mimiru is a tanned swordswoman in the online game The World, but she still counts. It’s not just a game, after all. Mimiru risks everything to help Tsukasa and uncover the mysteries surrounding The World. Those looking for pink-hair power should turn to BlackRose from the .hack video games.
Koichi Mashimo directed and Kazunori Ito wrote this series for studio Bee Train. Yuki Kajiura, of course, provided the epic music for the series. .hack//SIGN aired between April 4th, 2002 and September 25th, 2002 in 26 episodes.
3. Tier Harribel (Bleach)
Tier is one of the ideal Bleach waifus. She wears little during her earlier appearances and wears less when she powers up. Tier rightfully takes over as Queen of Hueco Mundo. Though her released weapon doesn’t quite look like a sword, it still counts.

Tite Kubo wrote and illustrated this series from August 7th, 2001, to August 22nd, 2016. Shueisha published all 74 volumes by that point.
4. Garnet MacLaine (Dragonaut: The Resonance)
Garnet is technically a dragon, but she still counts as a fine, tanned swordswoman. She collaborates with Asim for nefarious purposes undisclosed to the public. Despite her overwhelming power, she uses a sword in combat because she became fond of it while in Japan.
Shin’ichi Miyazaki created Dragonaut: The Resonance for Gonzo. 25 episodes and an OVA aired between October 4th, 2007, and March 27th, 2008.
5. Ghislaine Dedoldia (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation)
Ghislaine earns the title of the Black Wolf Sword King, reflecting her peerless sword skills. She has a fierce, no-nonsense attitude. Despite her independent nature, she trusts Rudeus Greyrat’s judgment and becomes his apprentice. Unfortunately, she didn’t become one of his wives.
Rifujin na Magonote posted the original Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation novel on the user-generated website Shosetsuka ni Naro between November 22nd, 2012, and April 3rd, 2015. Media Factory obtained the publishing rights and hired the artist Shirotaka to adapt the series to a light novel format. The MF Books imprint published 25 volumes from January 24th, 2014, to November 25th, 2022.
