Who Is Yu Tano?
Yu Tano was born in 2003 in Kanagawa, south of Tokyo. She started out as a sexy “gravure” idol, with her swimsuit photos appearing in issues of the Weekly Post. Then she heard the siren song of the JAV industry calling, and eventually switched careers to debut as a JAV actress on the S1 NO.1 STYLE label. Responses from fans were insane, with her debut release reaching #1 on the FANZA ranking.
If you thought the name Yu Tano sounded like something out of the Star Wars universe, you’re not wrong. Her manager selected the name for her because he’s a big fan of the character Ahsoka Tano. Yu’s got a good heart, too: in August 2026, when Kumamoto suffered a major earthquake, she donated ¥3 million (about US$20,000) to help the victims.
While some girls enter the JAV world because they want to emulate some actress they saw perform before, or to experience such a glamorous lifestyle, Yu Tano had a different reason. She wanted to start a custom bra maker for girls like her with chests so big, they couldn’t find bras in stores.
Interview With Yu Tano

You’re a big baseball fan. Which team?
The Chiba Lotte Marines. I love baseball itself, though I’m not really attached to individual players. What I like is seeing a whole team fight as one. I happened to click with Lotte’s vibe.
We hear you cook, especially bento.
I make my own bento and eat it on my balcony. My mom made me bento all the time, and it made me so happy that I decided to do the same once I grew up. Nikujaga is my specialty.
What kind of man do you like?
Someone gentle who accepts all of my selfish, lazy side. I like gruff older men who are confident. If it’s a real relationship, I’d say up to about fifty.
You’ve talked about having trouble finding bras that fit.
I was an H-cup in my third year of junior high and a K-cup by high school. Even when a cup fit, my slim body often made the band not fit, and stuffing myself into the wrong size meant sweat and rashes. Japan’s big makers stop at I-cup, so the sizes just weren’t there. I actually looked into getting breast reduction surgery because it was such a pain to find bras, but couldn’t afford the ¥1 million it would have cost.
Is that why you went into the JAV world?
Yes. I want to start a custom bra company someday. I had so much trouble with bras that I thought showing my body to men and women could connect to underwear. I want to make large sizes at low cost, for people like me and for everyone who can’t find their size. Currently, I wear bras that are custom-sewn and cost up to ¥200,000.
Is the company plan real?
It is. I’d rather buy a small existing lingerie maker than build a factory from scratch, because a factory is expensive and keeping the jobs there feels more useful to society. I’d skip having a store, too. Fittings in a rented room keep the cost down. I’ve studied marketing, I have a friend in textiles, and I have 100+ design ideas. I want to make comfortable bras for big-breasted girls because we wear bras every day.
What was your first day on camera really like?
Surprisingly, I wasn’t nervous because the staff made me feel like it was just the actor and me together, with no one else around. I wasn’t sure what kind of sexual performance I should be giving. I tried to do some acrobatic poses, but it felt really unnatural.
What’s your favorite scene in your debut release?
It’s the opening scene where I show my L-cup breasts for the first time. It was embarrassing, but I wanted people to look at my body properly. Compared to gravure photo shoots where I have a swimsuit on, it was a lot different.
What was the wildest moment on your photo book shoot?
We went to Miyakojima, an exotic island that’s part of Okinawa. It looks so beautiful in the book, but in reality, it was difficult. We had to take photographs in a beautiful field of sunflowers, but there were bees everywhere. How can I look sexy while being afraid of getting stung by bees?
How did your parents react to the news that you’d become a JAV Actress?
They were strongly against it. I didn’t let them change my mind. I showed them the five-year plan I’d made in Excel, with monthly goals showing the life I wanted to build. Eventually they stopped nagging me.
Tell me about your first time. Who was it with?
I was 18 years old, and it was with my boyfriend at the time, a senior from my part-time job who was two years older than me. He took me to a love hotel, and we did it. It didn’t hurt at all, which surprised me.
Lucky guy! Now that you’re doing it professionally, what kind of sex is your favorite?
I really like missionary, so I can see the face of the man I’m with. I love it when a man hits my G-spot the perfect way. The thing I like most is having both my nipples licked at once, by two men. That was really something!

I want to be loved by both men and women. People say a gravure idol “fell into” doing adult video, and I’d like to be the reason they say “switched to” instead. I’d also love a fan event where I can meet people, and I hope you’ll watch me grow.
