Atelier Ryza Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout, a well-known and beloved entry in Gust’s long-running Atelier RPG series, is getting an anime adaptation courtesy of Liden Films. Considering how well the Ryza games sold, it’s no wonder Ryza is getting animated.
With a release window of Q3 (July 1st — September 30th) 2023, Liden Films and Gust hope to tide us over with a trailer. They hope we’ll be transfixed by Ryza’s thicc, life-saving thighs. They will be correct.
That trailer focused more on Ryza’s tantalizing assets than anything else. They clearly know who their fans are, and we salute them.
A trailer with Ryza’s voice actress was also released, confirming that she would reprise her role. She also cosplayed for the event, and we salute her.
Liden Films has set up a promotional home page and an official Twitter page to stay connected with fans and keep them updated as they release more series material. They currently have a nice Key Visual to enjoy.
Ryza’s Adventures Begin
Atelier Ryza Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout follows the titular character, Reisalin “Ryza” Stout, a girl who dreams of going on her own fantastical adventures. She convinces her friends, Lent Marslink and Tao Mongarten, to board a boat to the mainland. There they meet the alchemist Empel Vollmer and his bodyguard Lila Decyrus, who saves them from a monster attack. Ryza and her friends plead with the duo to take them on as apprentices, a request they gladly grant. From there, Ryza learns the ways of alchemy from Empel while she and her friends work to fix an old cottage in the forest, which becomes Ryza’s new atelier. Her dreams of going on grand adventures begin in earnest.
Atelier Ryza Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout Origins
Atelier Ryza Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout began its alchemical journey as an RPG developed by Gust and produced by Koei Tecmo. The game was released on September 26th, 2019, in Japan and later in October and November in the rest of the world.
Despite PlayStation’s puritanical censorship practices, the game remained untouched and left Ryza’s thicc thighs to save lives. Unfortunately, its sequel, Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy, saw some censorship on DLC panties getting blacked out, but modders took care of that.
The J-List store has your back if you’re shopping for a physical Ryza to respectfully gaze upon. The Ryza (Reisalin Stout) 1/7 Figure Changing Clothes mode figure is available at a discounted pre-order.
