Last year, slapstick isekai comedy anime KonoSuba – God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o!) made the leap to the silver screen with a feature-length film debut across Japan and North America. The movie made massive waves, with fans across the globe giving it high praise. Unfortunately, many regions were still left with no way to view the film. Thankfully, Crunchyroll has announced plans to change that and make the  KonoSuba – God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World– Legend of Crimson film available to stream online. So whether you live in a country that never got the movie, you missed out on the original theater screenings, or you just want to experience the magic again, your wait is almost over.

An English dub of the film will also be available, but not until sometime in April. The film will stream in the U.S., Canada, South Africa, Central and South America (including the Caribbean), the Middle East and North Africa, and Europe (except Spain, Portugal, German-speaking Europe, French- and Dutch-speaking Europe, and Italian-speaking Europe).

Crunchyroll also announced plans to bring the original series to home video later this year. The anime streaming giant confirmed that season one of KonoSuba – God’s blessing on this wonderful world!! will be made available on Blu-ray disc starting May 25th.

KonoSuba 2020 Anime Calendar 1

Fathom Events, the company responsible for distributing the film in North American theaters last year, describes KonoSuba – God’s blessing on this wonderful world! – Legend of Crimson:

A video game-loving shut-in, Satou Kazuma’s life should’ve ended when he was hit by a truck, but through a twist of fate, he ends up reincarnating in another world – and dragging the troublemaking goddess, Aqua, the wildly dorky mage, Megumin, and the unrelentingly delusional lady knight, Darkness, with him.

Now, the Crimson Demon village that Megumin and Yunyun are from is facing a threat that could mean its ending. Kazuma and his gang follow Yunyun, who returns to the Crimson Demon village intent on saving it… when they are faced with their greatest threat yet! What will become of the unremarkable adventurer Kazuma’s life in another world?!

KonoSuba first started out as a web novel before eventually being republished as a light novel series in Japan. Eventually, it was adapted into an anime series by Studio Deen. A 10-episode season aired from January 13th to March 16th, 2016, and adapted the first and second volumes of the original light novel series. A sequel season aired from January 12th, 2017, to March 16th, 2017, and covered the third and fourth volumes of the light novel storyline. An OVA was also bundled with the ninth volume of the light novel, while a second one was bundled with the twelfth volume.
