Hey, Kantoku Fans! Sasaki and Peeps S2 Premieres October 7!

Feeling isekai fatigue? Maybe another trip to another world wears you down while production committees shelve the sequel you want. The Saga of Tanya the Evil finally returned for its second season this year, while No Game No Life fans have pled for relief on their hands and knees since 2014. Greenlight decisions on isekai sequels remain opaque. Kantoku fans have a firm appointment, though — Sasaki and Peeps S2 returns on October 7, 2026, with another one-hour premiere!

The new season launches with an hour-long special as the first season did in January 2024. Crunchyroll will stream Season 2 internationally. A September 10 promotional video and visual previewed the returning cast for Sasaki’s next trip to a parallel world.

Sasaki and Peeps — The Salaryman’s Last Season Meeting Minutes

The series started with a tired office worker buying a pet bird for companionship. “Peeps” soon revealed himself as Piercarlo, a legendary sage reincarnated from another world who acquired a taste for chateaubriand steak through online shopping. In exchange, Sasaki gained magic and built a profitable trade in modern Japanese goods between parallel worlds. His side gig soon collided with Japan’s Bureau of Paranormal Phenomena, clashing with psychics on both sides of the law. And his teenage neighbor girl’s interest in him gives off uncomfortable age-gap romance vibes.

The main returning cast includes:

• Akari Kitou as the Neighbor
• Rie Takahashi as Hoshizaki
• Inori Minase as Magical Pink
• Miyu Tomita as Elsa
• Naomi Oozora as Shizuka Futari

Yushi Ibe takes over as director for Sasaki and Peeps Season 2 at SILVER LINK. Deko Akao and Saori Nakashiki return for series composition and character design, respectively. MADKID returns from Season 1 as the opening theme band with “Unbroken,” while Non-Fiction! plays the ending theme, “Sukipi no Okage!”

Hostile Takeovers Mean Overtime for Season 2

The official site has added Abaddon (Mutsumi Tamura — Kobayashi from Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid), Himegami-kun (Tasuku Hatanaka), and Eliel (Yuu Sasahara — Yuuki Yukishita from Yowayowa Sensei) to its character lineup. Their presence points to a larger role for the “Esper” side of Sasaki and Peeps, with more focus on Japan. Magical Pink has buddies, but are they as antisocial as she is?

Even more overtime from Season 1 — Animate Ikebukuro will screen the first episode of Sasaki and Peeps Season 2 on September 22, then host a cast talk with Tomokazu Sugita and Aoi Yuuki. Anime Expo 2026 in early July gave international fans their first look at the new season’s premiere.

Kantoku’s Art Gives Sasaki and Peeps Its Relaxing Everyday Charm

Illustrator Kantoku created the original character artwork for Buncololi’s Sasaki and Peeps light novels. You know what that means? Sasaki’s harem will be full of short girls with big foreheads, bigger eyes, and indeterminate ages. Kantoku’s designs make every character look like they smell of fresh soap and innocence.

Fans can celebrate two decades of his work with KURUMI — Kantoku 20th Anniversary ArtWorks. The 320-page book includes an opening poster featuring its cover illustration and a memorial interview revealing the story behind Kurumi’s creation.
