The AX news I’ve been hearing already had me as giddy as Kazuma stealing panties. But when I heard that School Days Remastered is getting an English dub, I spasmed! JAST USA and Overflow broke the news at AX. They also revealed the VAs for the upcoming release. P.M. Seymour, the voice behind Makina-san’s a Love Bot?!, will voice Makoto Itou.
Brittany Lauda (Sayuri in Dosanko Gal wa Namara Menkoi) will voice Sekai Saionji. And Katelyn Barr (Yamada in BokyYaba) will round out the visual novel’s lead trio. Additional voice cast for School Days Remastered include:

A School Days Remastered English dub wasn’t on my 2026 bingo card, but it’s a welcomed addition. I know many people reading this will see the word “dub” and retch like Makoto when he hears the word “monogamy.” Personally, I’ll agree with you. But as a professional weeb, I know this decision is an SSR-level one. Many people have visual impairments, so getting School Days Remastered in English makes it more enjoyable. And unless they’re complaining about ecchi, we should welcome all manner of otaku.

School Days Remastered Deets
School Days Remastered will update the fully animated visual novel. Overflow will enhance several components of the visual novel, like the animation and score. But worry not, the remastered VN will keep the original player-driven story progression.
School Days Remastered follows Makoto Itou, a dude who thought he was in love but was confusing that feeling for horniness. While Makoto dreamt of dating and romancing the reserved and kawaii Kotonoha Katsura, she always seemed beyond his grasp. But when his friend Sekai Saionji offers to help him romance Kotonoha, Makoto sees it as a divine blessing. But there’s more to Sekai’s help. Seeing as Makoto lacks romantic experience, Sekai offers to help him in that regard too! But love triangles rarely end well.
Most people are only familiar with the 2007 TNK animated School Days anime, but as Peter-senpai points out, there’s more to the story. And if anyone can say that it’s Peter, since he was involved with JAST when they first released the game stateside. J-List helped translate the original visual novel.
