Kanojo no Tomodachi Production Deets
WWWave Corp. and Deregula are producing the Kanojo no Tomodachi anime, so chances are, we’re getting a short form. Studio Quad, known for their work on Miss Kuroitsu from the Monster Development Department and My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog, will animate the adaptation. Takashi Andou, who has worked as an episode director and storyboard creator on Attack on Titan and Date A Live, will be the anime’s director. Gokou Shiraki (Hands Off: Sawaranaide Kotesashi-kun) will provide the script and handle the series composition for Kanojo no Tomodachi.

My Girlfriend’s Friend is an adult, erotic manga written and illustrated by Jura (Jyura). YanMaga Web, Comic Web, and Magazine Pocket (Kodansha) have serialized the manga since May 2021. Kodansha has compiled the manga’s chapters into six volumes. Kodansha also released a special full-colored volume of the manga in November 2024.

Takeru Hidaka always loved Tomoko Yoshioka. But despite wanting to serve others and enrolling in medical school, Takeru always thought Tomoko was like the moon — visible but out of reach. So, Takeru settles for the kawaii Kaori Koga, and not only is she mecha-loving, but she’s also hot! But much like me, when accomplishing anything in life, Takeru is unhappy. The only thing that can fulfill him is Tomoko. However, when she tries to seduce him, Takeru initially resists. But how long can he keep his horniness and happiness at bay? He knows he wants Tomoko, but he also wants Kaori. Would having both of them be such a terrible thing? Sure, infidelity would harm his potential future as a doctor. It would also deeply hurt Kaori.
