Nekopara Sekai Connect Comes to Steam on September 28

Lately, I’ve found myself in a bit of a kerfuffle. I’m in a “spot of bother,” as my grandpa would say. The more I play Umamusume: Pretty Derby, the more kawaii horse waifus take up space on my phone. And while I’m content with the game and the screen recordings taking up almost 100 gigs on my phone, the lack of space prevents me from playing other games. And Nekopara Sekai Connect is a game that’s suffered because of that.

Despite my love of catgirls, I had to choose between horniness and hundreds of hours of uma grinding. But I no longer have to suffer due to my choices. Neko Works and Good Smile Company announced that Nekopara Sekai Connect will launch on Steam on September 28. The game’s developers also announced that players who’ve linked (saved) their data can transfer it to the PC version.

Nekopara Sekai Connect Details

Neko Works and Good Smile Company released Nekopara Sekai Connect on April 14 as part of Nekopara’s tenth anniversary celebration. The producers branded the game as a “romance adventure” where players interact with the original Nekopara girls and new nekos from “across the globe!”

Nekopara Sekai Connect includes fully voiced stories, shop creation games (à la sandbox), rhythm gameplay, and exclusive songs and music videos. Yui Sakakibara performed the game’s opening theme, “Nekopara Iten.” In this corner of the internet, I don’t really need to introduce the Nekopara franchise. But statistically, at least 10 percent of readers who clicked on this have never heard of Nekopara. That makes me sad. So, for all the newbies out there, “Ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to the Sunflower Circus!” Wait… hold up… wrong anime.

Nekopara is the end-all, be-all, catgirl eroge. The visual novels, games, and anime occur in a world where catgirls are real, and they’re horny. Most of the series follows Kashou Minaduki (where I get my nickname and love of baking from) as he manages his patisserie La Soleil while dealing with the romance of his kitty companions. The visual novel was adapted into a manga, anime, OVA, and, of course, the Nekopara Sekai Connect mobile game.

While any decent Android OS and Apple phone can run Nekopara Sekai Connect, you’ll need a PC with Windows 11, 4 GB of RAM, and at least 10 GB of free space to play it on Steam.
