Kazuhiro has been enjoying very vivid dreams for most of his life. He travels through a fantasy world, fighting monsters with swords and magic. A cute elf girl travels beside him every step of the way. His dreams changed after his dream girl woke up next to him in Japan. This would explain the title Welcome to Japan Ms. Elf!. He has the best dream girls.
It turns out that his dreams weren’t dreams. We’ll see how he handles his isekai friends in Japan when Welcome to Japan Ms. Elf! (Nihon e Yokoso Elf-san) premieres on January 10th, 2025. NIJISANJI VTubers Kaede Higuchi and Kanae perform the ending song “Yummy Yummy.”
Makishima Suzuki and Yappen released the original Welcome to Japan Ms. Elf! light novel on August 25th, 2018. Hobby Japan has since published nine volumes in the HJ Novels imprint.
The isekai dreamer, his dream elf girl, and a great dragon girl are as follows:
- Kazuhiro Kitase — Yusuke Kobayashi (Dino from That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime). A regular guy who has dreamed of a fantasy world since he was a young boy. He discovered just how genuine his dreams were as an adult.
- Marie / Mariabelle — Kaede Hondo (Shigeru Kamado from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba). A cute elf girl who has already lived for a century. She accompanies Kazuhiro on his adventures.
- Wridra — Yumi Uchiyama (Puck from Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World-). An ancient arch dragon. She started liking Japanese foods and visited Japan with Kazuhiro and Marie.

Kazuhiro Kitase has dreamed about traveling through a world of magic since he was a young boy. The dreams always seemed so vivid, and he looked forward to them even as he grew up and became a salaryman. He became fast friends with Mariabelle, a female elf mage. His dreams permit him to bring food from home, and she enjoys Japanese food. Their recent adventure together came to a fiery end by an arch dragon’s flames.
Kazuhiro can’t “die” since they’re just dreams. However, Marie awakens beside him in Japan. It turns out his dreams weren’t dreams. Kazuhiro happily shows his cute friend around Japan. She stays with him while traveling to her world through Kazuhiro’s ability. Later, that same arch dragon joins his interdimensional travels as a cute dragon girl.
