NTR is like a Fatboy Slim concert: everyone who “doesn’t like it” magically becomes euphoric when they’re a part of it. And when My Girlfriend’s Friend (Kanojo no Tomodachi) premieres on October 4, you’ll know that euphoria. To hype that release, WWWave Corporation’s Deregula recently released the anime’s main trailer, visuals, and cast news.
Deregula previously announced that Kanojo no Tomodachi would have a censored broadcast version and a “Complete Deregula” cultured version. Studio Quad, known for (depending on your ethics) the masterpiece or abomination that was My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog, will animate the series. The newly announced staff for My Girlfriend’s Friend includes Riho Sugiyama as Miyuki and Ryoka Yuzuki as Kaori’s mother. The anime’s previously announced VAs include:
- Ryuga Nagaike as Takeru Hidaka
- Sayaka Hashi as Kaori Koga
- Miki Hase as Tomoko Yoshia
Takashi Ando will direct Kanojo no Tomodachi. Airots performs the anime’s opening song, “Gingira,” which was composed and arranged by Kotaro Odaka and Saeto Kato. The OP includes lyrics by Occhoko Bunny. Kotaro Odaka and Takayuki Ishikura composed the anime’s ending song “False Love.” UiNA wrote the song’s lyrics, and Ceui will perform it.
Tokyo MX will premiere My Girlfriend’s Friend on October 4 (effectively October 5). BS11 will air the anime on October 7.
My Girlfriend’s Friend Details and Synopsis
Jura writes and illustrates Kanojo no Tomodachi. Kodansha’s Comic Days, Magazine Pocket, and YanManga Web service have serialized the manga since its May 2021 debut. The publisher has compiled the manga into seven volumes.
My Friend’s Girlfriend follows the love polygon of Takeru Hidaka, Kaori Koga, and Tomoko Yoshida. While Takeru-kun has a loving and devoted girlfriend in Kaori Koga, he needs more! Unfortunately, Takeru-kun is the only person who doesn’t realize it. He knows he’s always been attracted to Kaori’s friend Tomoko, but he plays the perfect boyfriend. But when Tomoko starts to tease, flash, and sexually excite him — Takeru-kun faces a dilemma. Does he throw away love and lose his ¥298 investment, or does he accept something way more valuable, like gyaru pussy?

Aside from My Girlfriend’s Friend, fall 2026 has a lot of ecchi titles. The Lonely Snow Widow and the Cursed Ring, and I’m Dating a Dark Summoner are the ones I’m most excited for.
