Toei has given us more looks at the upcoming remake of different Dragon Ball Super arcs. I’m always up for more Dragon Ball content, but I never understood the appeal of remaking anime arcs we can watch right now. I mean, I’ll still watch this and might get hyped, but I still wonder why this was necessary, other than Toei making a ton more money. That aside, we have more arcs than were promised to look forward to in Dragon Ball Super: Beerus. The new trailer is available in both English and Japanese.

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus News, Cast, Staff
Goku and Beerus will have their universe-shattering match sometime on October 11th, 2026. Toei Animation animates the anime adaptation, with Tadayoshi Yamamuro serving as director and character designer, while Norihito Sumitomo provides the music. MEGATERA･ZERO performs the opening theme song “ONOGAMI,” and VK Blanka performs the ending theme song “Kan Peki No Peki.”
Three of the godlike fighters are as follows:
- Son Goku — Masako Nozawa (Hisui from Pokémon the Movie: Everyone’s Story). Goku is a Saiyan raised on Earth and one of its greatest protectors.
- Vegeta — Ryo Horikawa (Jered Gan from Log Horizon). Vegeta is the proud prince of all Saiyans.
- Beerus — Kouichi Yamadera (Gihren Zabi from Kidou Senshi Gundam: GQuuuuuuX). Beerus is Universe 7’s selfish and gluttonous God of Destruction.
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus has an official website and a Twitter (X) account where you can find more information about the series and the key visuals.
The Heavens Tremble as Gods Clash in Dragon Ball Super: Beerus
It’s not yet clear how this remake series will differ from the original movies or the original anime series. However, it all looks really cool. We were promised remakes of the “God of Destruction Beerus Saga” and the “Golden Frieza Saga.” But the new trailer introduces Champa, Hit, and Frost, suggesting we’ll get the “Universe 6 Saga” as well. Whether the series extends beyond that to the sizable “Future Trunks Saga” or not remains to be seen.
Hey, they might skip right past that Saga and the ones after that, and we’ll get the “Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga” and the “Granolah the Survivor Saga” instead. That’d be cool. As cool as Goku Black and Jiren are, I’d like to see the Heeters get what’s coming to them. There’s a good chance we’ll get the “Universe Survival Saga,” given what looks like Goku’s use of Ultra Instinct -Sign- in the new key visual. Once more with feelings, fellow Z Fighters.
A Closer Look at Dragon Ball Super: Beerus
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus anime summary:
Several years have passed since the fierce battle against Majin Buu, and Earth has finally regained a brief moment of peace. At the same time, Beerus, the God of Destruction, awakens from his long, deep sleep. Even Kai and Supreme Kai, aware of Beerus’s overwhelming power to destroy entire planets, watch his awakening with great fear… Meanwhile, Beerus hears rumors of a Saiyan who defeated Frieza—and suddenly appears before Goku. Targeted by Beerus, the strongest being in the universe, Earth is in grave danger. Thus begins an Earth-shattering cosmic battle between the God of Destruction and Goku and his allies—a conflict that will shake the entire universe.
Akira Toriyama released the original Dragon Ball manga series from November 20th, 1984, to May 23rd, 1995. Shueisha published all 42 volumes in Weekly Shonen Jump. Toei Animation’s anime adaptation premiered on February 26th, 1986. Beerus first appeared in the 2013 movie Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. Toyotaro has continued the series after Akira Toriyama’s passing.
