Loner Life in Another World Gets Active in October

Another isekai anime series featuring RPG mechanics will premiere this October. A loner and his class are summoned to another world in Loner Life in Another World (Hitoribocchi no Isekai Kouryaku). Our protagonist doesn’t get those typical isekai cheat skills this time around. We’ll see how he does when the series begins airing. Let’s enjoy the new trailer until then.

Shoji Goji posted the original Loner Life in Another World novel to Shosetsuka ni Naro on October 12th, 2016. Overlap obtained the publishing rights and hired the artists Booota and Saku Enokimaru to adapt the series to a light novel format. This new run began on January 25th, 2018, in the Overlap Bunko imprint. Thirteen volumes have since been published.

Our loner protagonist and some of the girls who keep him company are as follows:

Haruka — Shuichiro Umeda (Yuuki Izumi in Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie). A boy who remains aloof and alone. His life is marred by tragedy, so he tries to help others to spare them from the pain he endured.
Class Rep — Haruka Shiraishi (Chitose Shirakawa from The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten). The lovely class representative who takes command in almost any situation. She harbors ardent feelings for Haruka.
Gyaru Leader / Shimazaki — Hina Suguta (Marin Kitagawa from My Dress-Up Darling). Though the Class Rep leads the girls in the class, Shimazaki specifically leads the gyaru girls. Gyaru Leader and her friends rely on Haruka to survive in the new world.

Loner Life in Another World Finds Company

Isekai protagonists don’t always get super fun cheat skills when they end up in another world. Haruka and the rest of his class were summoned to another world and received new skills. Unfortunately for Haruka, he was at the back of the line and was just given what was left. One of his new skills is “Loner,” which prevents him from joining parties. This is fine for Haruka because he’s a loner by nature anyway. He’s perfectly fine with the rest of his class going on epic adventures while he finds a nice place to live in solitude.

Despite his loner attitude, Haruka’s class is quite fond of him. It’s no wonder they turned to him for help after they got into trouble. Haruka won’t spend much time alone, especially as various beautiful women surround him. His Servitude skill may even kick in once more twice.
