Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 Anime Previews Ending Song

While plenty of upcoming anime are set to premiere across Japanese television channels in April, at least one brand new series is foregoing that method of release. Netflix has been getting further and further into the game of anime production for years, and now they’re set to produce a follow-up to one of the biggest anime franchises of all — Ghost in the Shell. We already knew that the new Netflix series, titled Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, would be coming to the service sometime in April. Now, we’ve got a preview of the brand new ending song for the series.

The ending song for Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 is titled “sustain++;” and will be performed by Mili. A new video uploaded to the official YouTube channel of the artist shows off the TV-sized version of their song, along with real-time lyrics for the song being displayed in programming text.

The previously revealed opening song for the new anime is titled “Fly with me,” and will be performed by millennium parade, a new creative team led by King Gnu member Daiki Tsuneta. The song will also have vocals by ermhoi, HIMI, Cota Mori, and Kento Nagatsuka (WONK).

The rest of the music composition team for Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 is made up of equally interesting and promising industry icons, Nobuko Toda and Kazuma Jinnouchi. They are set to compose music for the series. Nobuko Toda was previously the composer for Sweetness & Lightning and The Case Files of Jeweler Richard, while Kazuma Jinnouchi previously worked on Busou Shinki: Moon Angel. This isn’t the first time these two composers have worked together, though, as the duo previously collaborated on the soundtrack for last year’s Netflix-produced Ultraman anime. Additionally, the pair worked together as composers for the soundtracks of the Halo 4 and Halo 5 video games. Nobuko Toda also worked alongside Harry Gregson-Williams to compose the music of the iconic Metal Gear Solid video game series.
