One of the unwritten rules of learning a foreign language is that we all love learning the “naughty” words first. While Japanese is kind of famous for not having the colorful variety of anatomical words found in Western languages, it is fun to explore the various Japanese fetish words. Let’s get started. (Shoutout to this Reddit post for many of these.)
The Top Japanese Fetish Words
エッチ ecchi / エロ ero
Two words that act as standard euphemisms for sex or anything related to sex. The term ecchi (the Japanese pronunciation of the letter H), meaning to have sex, first appeared in a 1955 novel called The White Magic Fish.
処女 shojo / 童貞 doutei
The term for a female virgin is shojo, which is different from 少女 shoujo (note the long vowel at the front). A male virgin is always called doutei.
ケモミミ kemomimi
Literally meaning “beast ears,” it refers to any cute characters with animal features. While some fans dislike the “furry” label, there doesn’t seem to be any negativity associated with the kemonommimi term by Japanese fans.
巨乳 kyonyuu / 爆乳 bakunyuu
Big breasts / explosive breasts. You get the idea. If you want to have fun, ask English speakers 巨乳好き？ kyonyu suki? which means “do you like big breasts?” but it sounds like “can you ski?” in English.
貧乳 hinnyuu / ぺったんこ pettanko / ペチャパイ pecha-pai
Small breasts/flat chest, also known as Justice.
顔射 gansha / 顔面シャワー ganmen shower
One of the first “naughty” words I learned, even before coming to Japan. A man doing his business on the girl’s face.
女装 josou
A boy dressing up like a girl for any reason. Another word I learned before coming to Japan, thanks to watching the Genesis Climber Mospeda OVA, which you can watch here thanks to the miracle of YouTube.

手コキ tekoki / 足コキ ashi-koki
Hand-jerking or foot-jerking. You get the idea. The most common term for masturbation is オナニー onanii, from onanism, which comes from the Biblical character Onan, the guy who spilled his seed on the ground instead of putting inside his dead brother’s wife, or something like that.
おしおき oshioki
Sailor Moon’s famous “I’ll punish you in the name of the Moon” is tsuki ni kawatte, oshioki yo! in Japanese. This term means “punishment” but in sexual settings, it could mean “naughty punishment.”
人妻 hitozuma
Literally “a person’s wife,” the term refers to sexual situations involving a married woman who is being unfaithful for some reason. It’s related to the terms 熟女 jukujo (lit. “a seasoned woman,” aka MILF) and 不倫 furin (lit. “immorality,” referring to adultery).
露出 roshutsu
We all love perverted anime girls who do naughty things for us, and what could be naughtier than doing sexy things outdoors? This is known as roshutsu, and the term covers everything from public sex to flashing. Because the 露 ro kanji is assigned to Russia, I’ve always wondered if Japanese don’t perceive Russians as being more perverted than they otherwise might be.
痴漢 chikan / 痴女 chijo
A chikan can either be a perverted man who touches girls on a train, or perhaps a perverted guy in the neighborhood who people should be wary of. It’s not uncommon to see signs next to rice fields saying chikan chuui (beware of perverts). The female version is a chijo, though recently the term ビッチ bicchi (bitch) has come into vogue to describe what we would call a slut.
肉便器 niku-benki
Probably the rudest word you can apply to a female, it means “flesh toilet” and serves the same role as “cum-dumpster.”
ドS do-esu / ドM do-emu
Slang terms for someone who is into sadism and/or masochism, though it’s used often used to describe a person who is aggressive or passive in relationships in general.
パイズリ paizuri
Rubbing one’s penis against/between breasts, aka titty fucking.
オネショタ one-shota
The fetish of an older, experienced girl (oneesan) and a younger, less experienced boy (shota). If you’ve enjoyed shows like The Caretaker of Sunohara-sou or Kanokon, congratulations, you have this fetish.
