What’s Konosuba About?
Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! follows Kazuma “Kazutrash” Satou and is based on the light novel by Natsume Akatsuki (art by Kurone Mishima). When he mistakenly believes that he was run over and killed by a truck, the shock associated with it actually sends him to the afterlife. And, upon becoming an obituary, Kazuma’s story sees its true beginning. To his surprise, a rude goddess gives him another chance at life. But disliking her tone, he drags her with him to this new world.
There the unlikely adventurer quickly gains a reputation for taking on several of the Demon Kings’ generals and surrounding himself with questionable people. Konosuba currently boasts a 17-volume light novel, 20 volumes of its manga adaptation, several spin-offs, three TV anime seasons, several OVAs, and a theatrical movie. Also part of the Konosuba franchise is a spin-off anime focusing on Megumin and several games.
