The Story of My Girlfriend is the President
One of the most popular visual novels JAST USA has ever published, My Girlfriend is the President (Japanese title: Osana-najimi was Daitouryou) immediately came to the attention of VN fans thanks to its ridiculous game trailer which featured English commentary. When fans asked us to license the game for uncensored release outside of Japan, we reached out to ALcot and made it happen!
In My Girlfriend is the President, you’re a normal Japanese boy named Junichiro living next door to your childhood friend Yukino Ohama, who you’ve got a crush on. One morning, you wake up to find that Yukino-chan has become… the President of the United States of Nippon! What could have happened?
What happened was this: a spacecraft crashed into Tokyo, destroying the government entirely. To avoid chaos, the aliens brainwash the entire country into believing that Yukino is the President of the country, and quickly built a replica of the White House. No one can remember what happened before, so they accept it all as reality. The only person who remembers how the world was before is you.
As the game unfolds, there are many great characters to meet and interact with as you determine which of the four heroines you plan on courting. Yukino Ohama, the President of Japan. Irina Vladimirovna Putina, president of “Rusia” [sic] has come to Nippon to gather information on the UFO crash. The Starship Ezekiel, nicknamed Ell, the shy and petite persona of the ship in humanoid form. Ran Miyoshi, who becomes Yukino’s Chief of Staff (and needs to teach you about sex). And the strange alien girl Quo Little Little who is behind it all.
The game is great, with the perfect amount of humor, fun light-hearted moments with all the characters as the story unfolds, and lots of choices for you once you get on one of the girls’ romantic routes. As the best friend of Nippon’s new president, you naturally need to provide a lot of assistance to Yukino, which leads you to become closer to her, eventually getting to the point where you can confess your feelings. Or you could pursue President Putina’s route, helping her be less competitive with the other girls. Or get closer to the shy spaceship A.I. Ell. Or go another route entirely!

The game was so popular that Alcot made a sequel, the My Girlfriend is the President fandisc, which added additional story routes, allowing you to romance several other characters and adding new stories for the popular Yukino and Irina.
