Anime Expo 2026 is Here — What Rare Comics Does J18 Publishing Have For You?
I’ve been a part of Anime Expo from the very beginning, and have a real soft spot for the best anime convention in the world. I consider myself to be one of the luckiest people in the world: I came into my own as an anime fan just as anime convention culture was getting started. Then I went to Japan in 1991, and what happened? The Internet became a thing, right as I was looking around for some kind of interesting anime-related business I could start. I couldn’t have planned it better.

If you’re at the convention, we hope you’ll visit the J18 Publishing and JAST USA booth (#2938) in Kentia Hall. This is below the main hall, where you can find Artist Alley and all the adult booths. The staff has hundreds of books and games to delight you with!
Since Anime Expo is such an important event, J18 naturally brings lots of con exclusives. If they sell out at the show, will there be any left for you to buy online through J-List or Hmarket? I hope so, but you never know…

Anime Expo 2026 Exclusive #1: Comic Gaira vol. 1-3 Boxed Set
First up is the Comic Gaira Vol. 1-3 Boxed Set, an Anime Expo exclusive collecting all three volumes of Kenkou Cross’s monster-girl anthology in one gorgeous package. If you’re a fan of horns, wings, tails, and the general concept of “interspecies love,” then you need this! Kenkou Cross has been a fan favorite for years, and having all three volumes bundled together is so awesome!

We love how each volume has its own theme and cast while still building out one cohesive, gorgeously illustrated world. This is the kind of set that looks as good on a shelf as it reads.
If you’re at Anime Expo this year, get your butt down to booth 2938 in Kentia Hall!

Zonda’s Blowjob Research Club
Zonda’s art style is instantly recognizable. That mix of hyper-detailed, expressive faces with adorable super-deformed chibi reaction panels dropped right into the middle of the action. This full tankobon manga tells the story of a lucky boy who has a crush on his classmate — and lucky for him, she recruits him into the school’s secret Blowjob Research Club!

What club did you join back in high school? I was a member of the kitaku-bu or the “going home after school club.” I hope I wasn’t missing out on cool stuff like this!

Beatrice Brothel Anthology by Ohagisan
Rounding out the lineup is a gorgeous anthology from Ohagisan, whose painterly, almost classical art style has made them one of the most requested artists in recent years.
There’s one big problem with Ohagisan: their doujinshi are so gorgeous, they inevitably sell out, even when J18 does an extra large print run of 2000. (We currently have one of his books in stock here if you want to grab it.)

Just look at that linework and shading — Ohagisan’s command of lighting and texture is what sets this apart from a lot of other anthologies on the market right now. And creating the most amazing wish-fulfilment stories ever, about fucking sexy maid prostitutes from dawn til dusk, makes us feel all warm and fuzzy.
