Nazuna is truly the vampiric poster child for every pettanko lover. Although this writer personally prefers a little more padding on the ribcage, we’re willing to be convinced. How envious can you be of a fictional character? When that character is Wakana Gojo, personal tailor for the cosplaying goddess Marin Kitagawa, our envy is limitless. (Get it? His name is Gojo? And we said limitless? Like Gojo’s technique from Jujutsu Kaisen? Ahem. Anyway…)

It’s Christmas in July with Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus, the newest title in the AoButa or Rascal Does Not Dream series. The supernatural/coming-of-age series has been consistently popular thanks to the publisher’s support and the fandom’s undying love of Mai Sakurajima.
A perfect girlfriend on almost every level, Mai is caring, self-possessed, and driven, and always steps up for Sakuta when he needs it most. Her iconic bunny girl outfit is an ever-popular choice with cosplayers. We hope to see more of her Santa Claus cosplay after the Summer 2025 anime season!

The Rising of the Shield Hero is back for its fourth season, bringing our favorite raccoon-girls and chicken-girls back to television. The series might have lost ground to the likes of Re:Zero and Mushoku Tensei, but the Shield Hero’s party will always have a place in our hearts.
The Summer 2025 anime cosplay we picked for Rising of the Shield Hero mainly caters towards Raphtalia; we have decidedly mixed feelings about the rather excellent cosplay of Malty Melromarc.

Rent-a-Girlfriend: Summer 2025 Anime Season’s Guilty Pleasure
We promised ourselves we’d get through this section without disparaging Rent-a-Girlfriend fans, but the overall lack of cosplays for RAG characters says more about the series than we ever could. Maybe that’s just what you get for a cringe-inducing self-insert harem comedy, essentially the anime equivalent of Days of Our Lives.
Still, if there’s one thing Rent-a-Girlfriend gets right, it’s the characters. From the eponymous rental girlfriends Chizuru and Ruka, to hate-to-love-her homewrecker Mami, each girl is truly a heroine in their own right.
