Dandadan Season 2 Hunts a Cursed House and Evil Eye

Dandadan introduced cultured otaku to malicious aliens and spirits all at once. The intrepid hunters — a nerd with a cool name and his cute, lingerie-prone psychic friend — have grown stronger since then. Which is good, since their newest foe brings tragedy and hardship with him. We’ll see true evil rear its face when Dandadan Season 2 premieres on July 3rd, 2025.

Yukinobu Tatsu released the original Dandadan manga on April 6th, 2021. Shueisha has since published nineteen volumes in Shonen Jump+. Science Saru’s anime adaptation premiered on October 4th, 2024.

The alien and spirit hunters are as follows:

Momo Ayase — Shion Wakayama (Henao Jazz from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury). A psychic girl who believes in ghosts. She teams up with Ken to uncover various mysteries. She has a crush on the famous actor Ken Takakura.
Ken Takakura / Okarun — Natsuki Hanae (9S from NieR:Automata). An unpopular guy who believes in aliens. He teams up with Momo to fight ghosts and aliens. Momo calls him Okarun because she feels he’s not as cool as the more famous Ken Takakura.
Evil Eye — Mutsumi Tamura (Renly from Sword Art Online: Alicization — War of Underworld). A spirit born of hatred and resentment, with a desire to play with others.

Dandadan, the Sounds of Hate and Tragedy

Momo and Okarun’s fateful meeting led to them discussing the supernatural. Momo believes in spirits, but not aliens. Contrary to her, Okarun believes in aliens, but not spirits. Their initial investigation proves them both right: aliens and spirits exist, and both forces intend to harm humanity for their own ends. Momo and Okarun obtain supernatural gifts and protect humanity.

Recently, Jiji’s family moved into a new house, and strange things began to occur. Jiji’s parents are hospitalized, and he asks Okarun and Momo to look into things. They uncover an ancient curse and a horrified creature that threatens everything around it. Behind it all is a tragic tale of sacrifice and resentment. Momo and Okarun will have to go all out to save the day once again.
