Japan has a unique history of turning ordinary objects into gorgeous girls with either moe charm or sexual appeal. The battleship-themed gacha game Azur Lane is a prime example, with a long roster of beautiful waifus. On May 25, Azur Lane celebrates its eighth anniversary, the perfect time to enjoy all the sexiest Azur Lane cosplay!
Drawing from real-world naval vessels, Azur Lane takes alternate history to the next level with over 600 collectible “shipgirls.” Most of these shipgirls have premium “summer,” “racing,” or “wedding” themed outfits that you can unlock. Some of these outfits are so explicit that they were removed from the Google Play Store. You can also raise your affection with the shipgirls, take them on dates, and marry them like the caring and supportive fleet commander you were destined to be.
Azur Lane’s popularity and diversity give us a plethora of eye-wateringly good cosplay from some of our favorite cosplayers! Join us today on J-List for the best Azur Lane cosplay, and dive into some naval history along the way!
Enterprise: Azur Lane Cosplay of American Naval Pride
Hailing from the Eagle Union faction, which represents the warships of the United States Navy, is the aircraft carrier Enterprise. This shipgirl gets her name from the World War II-era USS Enterprise vessel, a.k.a. “The Big E.” The Enterprise aircraft carrier participated in more major actions against the Japanese Navy than any other United States ship!
As a shipgirl, Enterprise is one of the most popular Azur Lane characters to illustrate and cosplay. Her design aesthetic represents the overwhelming sea-and-air superiority of the American Navy, and her signature bow stands ready to dominate her enemies across the ocean and the land. Rock, flag, and eagle!
One of the best things about Azur Lane is the premium licensed figures. So, if you’re eager to splash some gacha cash on physical goods, check out J-List’s range of Azure Lane figures!

Implacable: Azur Lane Cosplay That’s a Bulwark of Boobs!
The buxom beauty, Implacable, flies the Royal Navy flag, a faction that (unsurprisingly) represents the British Royal Navy. The Royal Navy’s shipgirls stand apart from Azur Lane’s characters with their impressive busts and MILF-y vibes, and Implacable is no different!
The real-life Implacable, commissioned in 1944, was the third of her name and instrumental in repatriating Allied prisoners freed from Japanese prisons. Her defensive capabilities made her the British Royal Navy’s flagship of the reserve fleet before she became a training vessel. In-game, Implacable makes quick work of boss fleets with her counter-skills and sits in the highest possible tier of fan-made rankings, “Tier EX.”
For figure collectors, we’re particularly fond of this incredible 1/6 Figure of Implacable in all her glory, with curves so perfect you’d think they’re real!

Takao: The Samurai Shipgirl
Although Takao’s usefulness in-game sees her languishing in the middle tier, her sexy design makes her one of the most recognizable characters from Azur Lane. Takao’s charm stems from combining the imperial dignity of a commanding officer with the long, pantyhose-covered legs of a schoolgirl. Fans also love her premium skins, especially her “racing” design!
Hailing from the Sakura Empire (representing the Japanese Navy), Takao’s namesake heavy cruiser saw frequent action throughout World War II. Along with her sister ship, Atago, she engaged in frequent battles across the Pacific, with Takao being the only ship of her class to survive the war.
You can reunite Takao with her sister in Alter’s stunning Atago & Takao 1/7 Figure Racing Queen Version, with both girls in their racing outfits!

Atago: Azur Lane Cosplay of the Foxiest Shipgirl!
Serving as Takao’s sister ship throughout World War II, Atago did not share her sister’s luck in surviving the dangers of maritime warfare. But, thankfully, she is still alive and safe in Azur Lane, ready for her doting commander. While her design embodies the imperial dignity of her sister, Atago turns the charm up to eleven!
All of Azur Lane’s Takao-class ships have animal ears. But Atago’s foxy ears are extra perky and playful, begging you to scratch them! Unlike her sister, Atago’s outfit is a little more revealing, showing off delightful thighs that could distract careless enemy ships. Like many other shipgirls, Atago has a bridal variant, and we adore seeing such vulnerability on her wedding night!
If you prefer bikinis to bridal gowns (no judgment there!), check out the premium 1/7 Figure Manatsu no Koushinkyoku (Midsummer March). This specific figure neatly sidesteps the Google Play Store ban on Atago’s in-game Midsummer March skin!

Owari: Ero Azur Lane Cosplay at Its Finest
This one’s for all the lovers of tanned and dark-skinned anime girls! Owari is a defensive powerhouse of the Sakura Empire, and her namesake was one of just four ships from the planned Kii-class to finish construction. The other ships never started construction following the 1922 Washington Naval Treaty, which makes Owari the only shipgirl on our list to serve in World War I.
Owari oozes mature, feminine charm with her eye-catching cleavage, plump thighs, and devilish horns. Everything about her outfit and design makes her the perfect choice for the more ero side of Azur Lane cosplay!
You may have noticed that the incredible cosplayer, HaneAme, has featured several times on this list—and for good reason! She’s done dozens of Azur Lane cosplays. She even has a cosplay photography book dedicated only to ero cosplay of Owari.

Belfast: High Tea on the High Seas
Is there anything more quintessentially British than a maid in frills and white tights? The HMS Belfast, named after the capital city of Northern Ireland (somewhat complicating Azur Lane’s distinctly English portrayal of her), saw frequent action against the German Navy and even survived an encounter with a naval mine. After further modification, she participated in D-Day and combat in the Korean War before officially preserved as a museum ship in 1971, 35 years after her construction began.
In-game, Belfast is a decent light cruiser, but her design makes her a mainstay in the Azur Lane cosplay community. With soft, pillowy breasts and a desire to faithfully serve her master, Belfast is a shipgirl we absolutely wish were real. While her ordinary maid outfit is picture-perfect, we’re partial to her Christmas skin, which calls to mind a romantic shopping date on Christmas Eve.
