Kenichi Yamada was a hardcore MMORPG gamer who found glory after climbing through numerous virtual worlds. His most recent favorite game closed its servers, prompting him to find another game to play. Kenichi found a new game right away and immediately chose the highest difficulty and the lowest-ranked class to start. He was then immediately reborn in another world, giving him the sort of challenge he can’t simply walk away from. We’ll see how he plays his new game of life when Hell Mode: The Hardcore Gamer Dominates in Another World with Garbage Balancing Season 2 (Hell Mode: Yarikomizuki no Gamer wa Hai Settei no Isekai de Musou suru) premieres sometime in July 2026.

Let’s Play on Hell Mode and Become Peerless
Kenichi Yamada is an avid gamer and a veteran of numerous MMORPGs. He quickly grew tired of easy games, and after his last MMORPG shut down, he sought a new challenge. Kenichi found a new game that offered a high-level challenge, and immediately chose the hardest difficulty, Hell Mode, and the lowest-ranked class, Summoner. Hell Mode requires 100x the normal EXP amount to level up, but removes the level cap, and Summoner is a one-star class. For comparison, Hero is a five-star class. With that settled, Kenichi is reborn in another world.

Kenichi’s new life as Allen begins on some farms as the child of serfs, the bottom rung of society. His family is dirt poor, but they’re happy and proud. They subsist on farming and the occasional hunts that the baron orders. Allen hones his Summoning skill to help his family, however much he can, in the hopes of improving their lot in life. In just a few years, Allen gradually becomes strong enough to fight monsters on his own while making a name for himself as the baron’s servant and hunter. His personal summon roster also goes from frogs and little spiders to bears and giant spiders.
