I’ve never understood how a “straight” dude can dislike yuri. I know why they dislike yuri (bigotry, religion, stupidity), but I can’t comprehend it. When it comes to hot waifu action, I’m like Ash Ketchum; I have a compulsive need to get my hands on as much yuri as I can. The more waifus that swing for the same team, the better. And thankfully, episode four of Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android? embraced the yuri!
Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android?, Episode 4 — Owning a Sex Bot is a Dilemma
Nowadays, time moves fast. In four minutes, the Android girls moved to a first-name basis, an android learned the meaning of “consent,” there was an existential dilemma, and there was SEX! Before I pontificate about how yuri sex scenes add years to your life, let’s philosophize.
What existential dilemma am I talking about? It’s the one where Akane can’t bring herself to activate Nadeshiko because she can’t bring herself to own something so human. There will come a time when that’s something many people will grapple with. Would I sleep with (and love) a sex bot? Excessively and absolutely. Would I own a sex bot? No. But I would house it. It’s like “my” dogs; under the law, I’m their owner. However, in spirit, they’re my roommates. They do as they please; I merely feed them and give them cuddles. Something about “owning” a sentient being bugs me; Akane seems to feel the same way. Is that only due to the same moral standing I have, or is Akane-chan succumbing to love?
I still haven’t completely read the source material for Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android? But I will. There’s so much to gush over, and I know the anime doesn’t cover it all. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the ecchiness the anime gives me. But when an android that was built to be a walking onahole learns the concept of “consent,” I need to know more.

YURIFICATION!!!!
There are far too few well-crafted, ecchi yuri shows. That more than anything makes the duration of Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android? maddening. I’ve been shown too little of something that could make me swoon, and that’s upsetting. Akane is an 8, and Nadeshiko is a solid 10. I need them to be lewded but three minutes only has so many frames. I suppose this is how production teams sell manga and light novels; they give us too little, and that makes us want more. Despite that, this is still my favorite adult show of the season. Ren Azusagawa was a disappointment, Ichigo Aika is barely holding on, and Chained Soldier‘s second season needs about 500 times more Yakumo. Everyone’s raving about Supreme Commander Ren, but all the homies know that Yakumo is where it’s at.
With most shows, you can tell how things are going to pan out by the halfway mark, and Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android? is no different. This anime is eight episodes long. I bet an onahole that we’ll get a pseudo-confession and a cliffhanger. Life sucks, then we die.
