As for why the calendars are different? It’s because the Gregorian Calendar skips a leap year in years divisible by 400, more closely aligning with Earth’s solar journey. The Julian Calendar — still used to observe Orthodox Church holidays — always takes a leap year, resulting in significant drift over the centuries.
