First announced during Digimon Con 2025, we now have more information about the new Digimon anime series. The Sapotama has all but replaced the cellphone for people. It’s convenient, shaped like an egg, and draws its power from human thought and emotion. People have named this power e-Pulse, and it keeps their AI partners going. However, this power has drawn the attention of dangerous digital lifeforms. We’ll see how humans and these new lifeforms clash when Digimon Beatbreak premieres on October 5th, 2025.
Akiyoshi Hongo and WiZ released the original Digimon digital pet in 1997. Hiroaki Miyamoto and Ryota Yamaguchi are heading up Digimon Beatbreak for Toei Animation.
Digimon Beatbreak Cast
Three of the new Digi-Destined are as follows:

- Tomoro Tenma — Miyu Irino (Astral and Numbers 96 from Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal). A critical boy who dislikes rules. He joins Golden Dawn after encountering the Digimon.
- Reina Sakuya — Tomoyo Kurosawa (Rebecca from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners). Golden Dawn’s loose cannon fighter who attracts enemies and uses too much e-Pulse in fights.
- Kyo Sawashiro — Yohei Azakami (Guel Jeturk in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury). Golden Dawn’s leader. He works as a “Cleaner” to manage Digimon-related incidents.
Toei Animation maintains a home page, a TikTok page, and a Twitter (X) page to promote Digimon Beatbreak. There, you can find additional series information and the key visuals.

Digimon Beatbreak Hatches a New Adventure
Everyone and their mum has a Sapotama. It allows for portable computing and communication. What’s more, its fuel source comes from people rather than electricity. Humans’ thoughts and emotions convert into e-Pulse. That they’re shaped like eggs makes them all the more adorable. Even the most critical and loner of people like Tomoro Tenma have their own Sapotama.

Humans naturally draw the mysterious digital life forms known as Digimon to them. Digimon happily eat e-Pulse to grow stronger and even digivolve. Tomoro’s Sapotama shatters like an egg, giving life to a wily Gekkomon. Tomoro finds a place with the bounty hunting group Golden Dawn to uncover more about Digimon and determine if Digimon and humans can co-exist.
