The upcoming issue of Weekly Shonen Magazine announces the adaptation. The official Kanan_Choroi X account later confirmed the adaptation. A website for the forthcoming adaptation has since been launched. However, the website currently has little information on the show’s production and voice cast. Studio KAI (Uma Musume Season 2/3, Shine Post) will handle the upcoming adaptation.

Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine has serialized Kanan-sama wa Akumade Choroi since June 2022. The series ranked 17th in the 2023 Next Manga Awards. The manga currently boasts 9 tankobon volumes. Nonco writes and illustrates the manga.
The Mistress Kanan is Devilishly Easy manga follows Kanan Takakiyo, the athletic and highly regarded chair of the discipline committee at Tama Municipal Votive Academy. Unbeknownst to those around her, the affable Kanan has an unsavory underbelly — she’s a demon! And the reason she enrolled in the school was to prey on the souls of humans! But when she targets Youji Kyougi, Kanan finds something completely unexpected instead of a meal — she finds love! And when the assertive Youji asks her out, the thousands-of-years-old Kanan finds herself filled with feelings she’s never had to express!
Nonco’s other works include the slightly ecchi, supernatural comedy, Youkai Izakaya Nonbereke, and some chapters in the Kanojo, Okarishimasu: Koushiki Anthology Comic.
