Chained Soldier, Episode 8: Pet Private Parts Loan Pending?

Tenka campaigns hard to borrow Yuuki from Kyouka as her “pet.” Kyouka practices “lending” Yuuki to others.

Episode 8 — “Promise, Nei, Remember”

Meh.

Borrowing and loaning Yuuki the boy toy was the theme for this Chained Soldier episode. But its plot development fell short in one regard. We never got a hint until now that Kyouka’s power included “lending” a slave to others. Treating Yuuki as an object to be passed around to other girls for his domestic prowess has been a running joke. Himari’s Peach Power mimicking ability also introduced the idea that Yuuki could work with someone other than Kyouka. But nowhere did we hear about the wrinkle in Kyouka’s Eternal Chains skill that she could loan him out.

How did she know she could do that? The Squad 6 members had to experiment with him to discover the lessee had to pay Yuuki’s reward price. We should have had some foreshadowing before this moment. Everything else was fine. From expecting Yuuki to look different to expecting the lessee to pay the reward for yanking his chain, this was fun to watch. I liked how Nei’s version made him look like a feminine mecha suit. And then the payoff with x-ray vision? Chained Soldier made the audience proud with fanservice!

Chained Soldier Makes Me Go Heh.

Wow. Tenka wants a private life and thinks she can pick up a boyfriend like a vibrator. Ha! She’s willing to bribe Kyouka to borrow her boy toy! That fails to convince Kyouka because the Squad 7 commander aims to become the Supreme Commander on her own merits. What does Yuuki think? He has no private time anyway as a dorm mother. Hoho. So convenient! Tenka can enter his room any time she wants with her portal power. How could any boy resist a direct love attack from Tenka? She has a unique way of ripping off lovers’ clothes! Interrupted! Shushu suffers a shocking scandal!

Dorm meeting over an intruder. I don’t believe it. Tenka claims she’s never been so aggressive. Shushu is also skeptical. Tenka is such a flirt! Nei slept through the whole drama. Squad 6 looks like they do enough to relax on their own without a male dorm caretaker.

Chained Soldier Savings and Loan

This is news to me. We saw Himari use Yuuki as her slave because she mimicked Kyouka’s Eternal Chains ability. But Kyouka can “loan” her slave to others in Chained Soldier. How did she test this out with her Shuuki slaves? This sounds like an asspull to me. First up, Nei! What will Yuuki look like when Nei yanks his chain? Hohoho. Eternal Chains: Slave, Shining Star! Yuuki looks like a pink ranger. He doesn’t feel as fast or strong as when Kyouka or Himari rides him, but he has x-ray vision! Shushu appears to enjoy the spectacle. Kyouka feels an energy drain from lending Yuuki to Nei. How about more details on how it affects her, please? Oh! The borrower has to pay the toll! What a cutie Nei makes as she kisses her “junior” on the cheek.

Har! Shushu is thirsty! She sees a chance to jump Yuuki’s bones. Yuuki looks like a tank as a “stone fighter.” He’s rock hard… Wait! Can he turn into a giant, too? Nope. Perhaps Shushu could throw him as a living boulder later in Chained Soldier. No lovey-dovey reward for Shushu, though. Morning training is over: it’s time for Nei to go to school. Now on Stargate: Mato! Ah, I mean, the demon gate… Nei and Yuuki exchange stories about hoping to reunite with their families after a Mato Mishap. We know where Yuuki’s sister is already. Nei’s situation is more tragic, but her hope inspired her Peach ability: “Sure to Find: Promise.” I’m not sure how that relates to x-ray vision for boobies, but good for her!

Tenka Likes Grilled Beefcake and a Chained Soldier

I like how Tenka and Kyouka are best friends. These two discuss how the present Supreme Commander wants to establish a dialogue with the talking Shuuki. We still don’t know what their goals are in Chained Soldier. I also have a nagging suspicion that the Shuuki foot soldiers are the dead spirits from the Mato Mishaps. Neither Tenka nor Kyouka are optimistic about diplomacy. Gah! Tenka is such a flirt! I’ve said that before, but if Tenka keeps teasing Yuuki, I’ll type those words again. Even the young Nei can tell Tenka is too much. Ack! A Shuuki attack, in Chained Soldier!

That’s a lot of demon gateways. Is this what a Mato Mishap looks like from the demon world’s side of things? Haha! Why would Kyouka be in a bad mood? Oh, I don’t know. Is it possible she hates watching other girls play with her toys? Good! She admitted her possessiveness. I love it when Yuuki’s demon mask eyes are so expressive. The Shuuki tried combining in a different configuration, but it’s still a big giant that Kyouka can slice in half. Ah. Shikoku the Snake Lady conducted an experiment. Oho. Kyouka’s disciplinary action revved Yuuki up, which got Tenka’s juices flowing even more.

Ooh. Ginna is Nei-sensei’s special guest in the omake to explain Tenka’s portal power. Tenka can teleport anywhere within 50 km! Next time, we spend time with one of the demon ladies, Koko. Are there political differences among the Shuuki generals?
