Leave a ramune bottle open for 28 weeks, and the fizz will fizzle out. Leave a high school romantic drama unresolved for that long, and the emotional pressure keeps building. Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle Cour 2 (千歳くんはラムネ瓶のなか 第2クール, Chitose-kun wa Ramune Bin no Naka Cour 2) premiered on October 13 with Episode 14. Cour 2 returns to Asuka’s uncertain university plans before widening its focus toward Haru, another member of Saku’s social circle.

Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle Returns After Choking on Delays
Cour 1’s regular weekly run stopped after Episode 10 on December 30. The concluding three episodes arrived on March 30 and 31, three months later, with Episode 13 finishing the cour. Another 28 weeks separated that finale from the October 13 return. Episode 13.5 refreshed the story one week before the premiere. Then Episode 14 carries Saku and Asuka’s relationship into its next decision point.

The original split-cour plan always included a break. The disrupted Cour 1 schedule left Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle stuck behind the marble at the bottleneck.
Episode 14 Pops the Second Bottle’s Cap

Saku and Asuka travel to Tokyo to visit a university she may attend, opening Cour 2 with the Asuka-focused Tokyo university arc. Their trip gives Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle an immediate future-facing conflict: Asuka could soon live in another city and remain one school year ahead of Saku. Overhearing a meeting between a young writer and editor in a restaurant expands that question beyond college selection toward the lives these students want to build.
The Part 2 promotional video also previews a Haru-centered arc. That handoff should help Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle restore its ensemble rhythm after opening Cour 2 with Asuka’s unfinished story.
The Voices and Staff Pouring Part 2
Shougo Sakata returns as Saku in Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle, with Chika Anzai as Asuka and Rumi Ookubo as Haru. Their performances carry the gap between confident social presentation and the uncertainty each character keeps below the surface.
Yuuji Tokuno continues directing at the animation studio feel. Naruhisa Arakawa handles series composition, with original novelist Hiromu contributing scripts. Sumie Kinoshita returns as character designer. Cider Girl performs the new opening, “咲く” (“Saku,” translation — bloom), and aruma provides the ending, “Doko ni mo ikenai mama.” The returning team preserves Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle’s strengths in conversational chemistry and subtle relationship cues.
Why Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle Fits 2026’s Social Rom-Coms
J-List has already explained why the anime hits differently. Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle’s second cour can prove that case by putting outwardly confident teenagers through the usual inward chaos. Even the popular kids can make growing up a massive mess.

Viewers who enjoyed You and I Are Polar Opposites, which turned public confidence into private romantic pressure, should recognize the appeal. Shougo Sakata, the voice of Saku, also voiced Yusuke Tani in that anime. For a different angle on social distance, The Dangers in My Heart follows a loner drawn toward a classroom star. Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle explores social pressure inside the cool kids’ clique, where every confident smile can hide a private crisis.
Where to Watch Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle Cour 2
Japanese broadcasting began October 13 on AT-X at 11:00 p.m. JST. Crunchyroll streams Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle Cour 2 with English subtitles.
Second Pour: This return has the right story to restore the anime’s emotional momentum. Asuka’s Tokyo plans give Episode 14 a concrete choice. Then the promised Haru arc opens Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle for another character-focused turn.
