Himari drags Yuuki into her tense family dynamics when she uses him as her slave in a contest between squads.
Episode 4 — “Whirlwind, Himari, Roar”
Hmm.
Sometimes, you can only learn the deeper aspects of something from another perspective. Chained Soldier did that for us when Kyouka “lent” Yuuki to Himari. We’re still receiving information on how Kyouka’s Peach Power operates, but Himari’s sessions with Yuuki confirmed things for us. First, the master’s body acts autonomously to the subconscious wishes of the slave. I loved how Himari was frozen until Yuuki looked at her panties again! It’s just too bad for these young women that the slave happens to be a horny teenage boy. Conscious, subconscious, unconscious. It doesn’t matter. Adolescent males have sex on the brain. And head pats, for some reason, in Yuuki’s case.
Second, we saw a spotlight on the essence of the master-slave relationship in Chained Soldier. It’s the consensual trust between a dominant and her submissive. Dominating Yuuki and ordering him around powers him up! Kyouka must know this at a surface level from her experience chaining Shuuki. But those sessions were more like a dog owner and a junkyard dog. I can imagine Kyouka’s ability increasing when she yearns for the reward sessions, reciprocating Yuuki’s pleasure.
Heh.
Yuuki likes compliments about his coffee from beautiful women. Squad 7, pay attention. Ah. Yachiho Azuma is Himari’s older sister. And a bully. Nice. Kyouka noticed Himari’s need for revenge. Let’s have an official beat-them-up contest! Ahem, Chained Soldier calls it “capabilities assessment.” Tenka informed Kyouka that the squads should combine to tackle those “talking Shuuki.” Squads 6 and 7 will coordinate operations, but Kyouka needs to see the other squad members use their abilities through an inter-squad Mato exhibition match. That’s an acceptable excuse for Himari to exact payback on Yachiho’s digs. Himari glanced at Yuuki when she requested Kyouka’s help for the single combat match. But Kyouka warned her the help would be “physically demanding.” She means sexy times.
Himari’s training begins with ramen. Har. Himari’s ability isn’t making her arms into weapons. It’s collecting her friends’ skills as trading cards. Is Kyouka a UR (Ultimate Rare) character? Himari learns other people’s abilities and uses them. Uh oh. Himari thinks the compensation for using Yuuki as a slave is doing his chores. Well. She’ll find out what Chained Soldier has in store for her. Whirlwind! Yuuki’s demon armor looks different from when he’s with Kyouka. Personalities change the Peach Power, so this makes sense. Ninja Yuuki moves fast.
Chained Soldier Channels Iyapan
Here it comes! Perverted compensation! Show me your panties with a disgusted look on your face! This is news. The master of the slave reflexively moves her body to do what Yuuki wishes for subconsciously. She can’t stop her body until Yuuki feels satisfied. And face-sitting was Yuuki’s reward this time! Or a mutual reward? Himari can barely stand the consequences of using Kyouka’s Eternal Chains powers. But her Learning skill has a compatibility dimension that changes some skills to the point of ridiculousness. Yuuki became a ninja for Himari instead of Kyouka’s tank. But if Himari uses Shushu’s size-changing Paradigm Shift talent, all it does is increase her bust size. Some girls might appreciate that in Chained Soldier.
Himari explains her desperation to beat Yachiho. The Azuma family has a high reputation for accomplishment as Demon Defense Force members. But Himari suffered unlucky moments during her childhood. Yachiho looks down on her little sister as if those failures were her fault. Himari wants to prove herself and exact small revenge against her cruel older sister. Sounds like pettiness all around to me. At least Himari has a germ of motivation for improving herself. Yuuki’s version of a demon-armored slave with Himari is fast, but is it fast enough to deal with a time traveler? Yachiho can stop, start, and reverse time! Chained Soldier has the time-stop fetish for you cultured perverts out there. We have yet to see redeeming personality features in Yachiho. The other eye-catcher shows Himari does have a ramen shop hobby.
Eye of the Roaring Chained Soldier
Oh! Here’s a hint about Yachiho’s ability and how it relates to her character: she needs to strike a “weird” pose first. Is she a closet chuunibyou? Yuuki might be one, too, or he has seen Karate Kid too many times. Har. Yuuki’s reward for the training session is pats on the head. Oh? Do I detect growing jealousy in Shushu? Kyouka reminds Himari about the nature of Eternal Chains: the master dominates the slave. Mount and order him around! That gave Yuuki a power boost. More rewards. Yuuki’s cup overfloweth when Himari makes her cups overflow. Training montage. Yuuki’s reward ideas grow stranger.
Exhibition day. Let’s get it on! Tenka brought droopy-eyed Sahara Wakasa with Yachiho. How many Chained Soldier episodes will it take to show how Squad 6’s members’ Peach Powers work? But before the action sequences, we need “action” scenes! Shushu giggles at how “physically demanding” Yuuki can be. Boom! Surprise Double-D Saharas in the bath! Aw. Shushu and Himari feel inadequate. That’s not a good feeling right before a competition. Ah. Sahara is the sleepy one of Squad 6. Dramatic confrontation between sisters before the match. I wonder if Yachiho used her time control skills to sabotage Himari when they were kids.
A force field with healing powers? Is Ginna Bizen responsible for the shields around the squad dorms in each Mato sector? How much lipstick does she use a month? The Peach Power skills in Chained Soldier have many conditions. How do the girls find out what they are? Ginna’s members’ only fight club is usually no boys allowed. A literal lipstick lesbian? Squad 7 has its own cheering section.
One Punch Slave?
Round 1 — Azuma Sister Grudge Match! Sahara has already dozed off. Smug Yachiho gets her smug mouth shut up with a gut punch. Almost a one-hit victory! She turned back time, and Himari could tell she had. Change tactics. Settle in, folks. We’re off to the next episode.
