Moe Day (萌の日, moe no hi) is traditionally celebrated on October 10th. However, moe girls are to be protected and appreciated every day of the year. Blessed are we with moe anime such as The Helpful Fox Senko-san and The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten. The concept of unbearably cute girls soothing the woes of lonely guys has an undeniable charm. It heals the souls of otaku everywhere. The newest moe anime on the block is Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included (Wan Rumu, Hiatari Futsu, Tenshi-tsuki). An angel descended and gave light and life to a lonely high school student. There’s no release date yet, but the trailer alone will heal our souls.
Matoba initially released the Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included manga series on September 12th, 2020. Square Enix has since released five volumes in Monthly Shonen Gangan. Okuruto Noboru, the studio that worked on How Not to Summon a Demon Lord Ω, My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered, and Hyperdimension Neptunia, will be animating the series.
Two of the lead characters in Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included are as follows:
- Shintaro Tokumitsu — Shuichiro Umeda (Yuuki Izumi in Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie). A regular high school student awakens to find an angel sleeping on his balcony.
- Towa — Hikaru Tono (Rabi in Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro). The incredibly moe angel from Heaven napped on a high school student’s balcony.
Okuruto Noboru has set up a home page and Twitter page to promote Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included. Additional series information and bonuses, like the Key Visual, can be found there. Matoba, the creator, also shared an illustration to celebrate the anime adaptation.
An Angel Descended onto My Balcony
Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included is an apt title and description for this moe series. Shintaro is an overworked high school student with no real goal in life. He lives alone in a crummy apartment with barely a scrap of food. His fortunes change one usual day when he awakens to find a girl sleeping on his apartment balcony. Shintaro is started and accidentally spills his drink on her, which prompts him to offer his bathroom and a shirt. The girl introduces herself as Towa and reveals she is an angel from Heaven.
God does not allow angels to interact with humans much, and Towa took this rare opportunity to study humans up close. Shintaro does not believe her tale in the slightest. He assumes she’s a cosplaying runaway or a cultist who wants to sell him something. Towa proves her angelic nature when she meets him outside after work. She was being led along by a strange man, so he came to her aid and collapsed due to exhaustion. Shintaro assumed she had trouble carrying him home. Towa revealed her wings and explained that she had flown him home. A divine roommate thus appeared and ended Shintaro’s lonely days.
If you want your own moe angel to take home, J-List has some options. The Hitori Gotoh POP UP PARADE Figure from Bocchi the Rock! is now available for pre-order.
