There are many reasons we watch anime: to see stories about interesting and dramatic characters we can’t find in other mediums, to be uplifted by new worlds. And also, to see some amazing battles with interesting superpowers we wish we could make use of. So I asked J-List’s Twitter followers to tell us what anime superpower do they wish they had, and here’s the list we came up with!
There are many awesome super powers in anime. What anime super power do you wish you had?

The ability to disappear would always be a handy power to have.
Or at least be invisible to one person at a time, as in the Charlotte anime.
Teleportation would save a lot of money on airfare between the U.S. and Japan.
Pretty much any Jojo Stand would also come in handy.
Code Geass-style mind control would be great, too. I promise I would only use it for good purposes.
The power to attract a harem of cute girls would be handy too.
Being able to jump really high and land without breaking anything.
The ability to swap bodies with people of the opposite sex so we could experience how the other half lives. I’m sure we’d all like this anime superpower.
The power to use one’s own blood as a weapon.
Having Froppy’s tongue would come in handy in the bedroom.
The Spirit Gun from Yu Yu Hakusho.
The ability to freely manipulate all paper, like The Paper from Read Or Die.
The power I’d most like is time travel, which is something I obsess about. I could move up and down the line of time, making everything as it should be and reliving the best moments of my life, as in the film About Time, one of my favorites.
As long as we’re picking choosing anime superpowers, how about being reincarnated as a slime in “God Mode,” with every possible high-level skill imaginable, from the ability to swallow dragons to re-building societies so that they’re totally harmonious and happy. Just make sure to destroy my hard drives before I go…

We love the artwork (and pantsu) of artist 40hara, especially his popular catgirl named Kinako. Now there’s a limited character keychain you can preorder! Get it here!
