There have been many nights in Kashou’s life where he’s wandered the streets drunk and alone due to life’s sorrows (spelled ‘work’). A crumpled $20 was the most meaningful thing I found on my misadventures. Now that my excessive drinking days are behind me, I wonder where I went wrong. What magical mix of alcohol and bad decisions would take me to a place where I’d befriend a sexy dragon? As much as I try to find an answer, I can’t. Luckily, Sol International gave me a solid consolation prize: the Tohru Cat Dragon Figure.
We once worshiped dragons and cats. Adding an anime girl to the mix seems like the 2020s version of the Holy Trinity. And that moniker is fitting because Tohru is divine in this figure. Her vibrant flame-colored hair and flawless porcelain skin beautifully contrast with her gray, tiger-striped, cat-maid costume. Tohru’s eyes give this nyantastic figure an additional touch of kawaii; her dragon eyes mirror those of a cat.
Katagiri Youhei sculpted the Tohru Cat Dragon Figure to elegantly highlight the kawaii dragon’s sexiness. Tohru’s muscles and curves don’t pop out, but oh, how they welcome your eyes to wander. Kyoto Animation adapted the Kobayashi-san Chi no Meidoragon manga into a TV anime (with two seasons) and a theatrical film, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to Be Loved. Crunchyroll streams the TV anime. The franchise also includes a Bushiroad-produced shoot ’em up game, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: Burst Forth!! Choro-gon Breath. It’s available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Steam.
