As someone who’s often had to slog through waist-deep water in crocodile-filled mangrove swamps, I can assure you, that adventure isn’t always glamorous. Often, you’re returning home bruised, parasite-riddled, and hoping that the fever you have is a cold and not malaria. So when I saw people give GS flack in Goblin Slayer for killing goblins, it displeased me. GS deserves love for what he does, not constant moaning that he’s not an adventurer. Luckily, he has a blonde waifu who realizes how important his work is. And with this Hakoiri Musume 1/6 scale Priestess Figure, you too can have an elegant, supportive blonde waifu.
Hakoiri Musume’s 1/6 Scale Priestess Figure
I think we can all agree that Goblin Slayer was controversial. Whether we believe it made the right choices is a different story. Personally, I don’t think it merits the hate it gets. But I do think Priestess deserved all the love and appreciation thrown her way. What doesn’t kill you gives you lifelong, debilitating PTSD. You have to give credit to a waifu who, on the brink of death, rushed back into battle when she saw someone worth fighting alongside. That fierce determination is perfectly captured in the Hakoiri Musume’s 1/6 scale Priestess Figure.
Set against a cave backdrop illuminated by torches, the 8.7″ (22 cm) figure showcases Priestess in the art style of Goblin Slayer season 2. It depicts the battle-worn waifu defiantly rising after a fight. Though her robes lie in shambles and her strength has been drained, Priestess’ spirit remains unbroken. Her steely blue eyes pierce you like daggers as she regains her footing with the help of her staff. And while this may not seem like much, that little action speaks volumes to Priestess’s character. She may need help at times to stand tall, but stand tall is what she always strives to do.
You can display the figure’s base in two ways, as the back of the piece is removable. Likewise, the priestess’s cap is also removable, allowing you to display her beautiful blond hair unobstructed. Sculpted and painted by Hakoiri Musume, the figure is a must-have item for fans of Priestess and the Goblin Slayer franchise. The 1/6 scale Priestess Figure retails at $190. Buy her here.
What’s Goblin Slayer About?
Adapted from Kumo Kagayuu’s (art by Noboru Kannatsuki) light novel, Goblin Slayer follows an adventurer of the same name. After goblins destroyed his village, killed his parent, assaulted his sister, and took his job, GS set out a single goal in mind: to slay goblins. Traveling far and wide to kill as many of the foul beasts as possible, his PTSD-fueled sorties quickly become a legend. At first, his one-species slaughter is something he does by himself. But after he saves the newbie adventurer Priestess, and the tales of his exploits travel further, he gains a full party. And with that party, his genocidal campaign against goblins reaches a new level of violence.
White Fox animated the first season of Goblin Slayer, which aired as part of the Fall 2018 anime season. The sequel movie, Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown, aired in Japanese theaters on February 1, 2020. White Fox also animated the theatrical film. A second season of Goblin Slayer aired during the fall 2023 season. This season was animated by LIDENFILMS. All GS titles are currently streaming on Crunchyroll.
