Today we’ll look at a great new photobook featuring professional cosplayer, voice actress and singer Enako, giving her take on the furry world of BEASTARS. Let’s take a look at hew new photobook, called Enako x BEASTARS Wild Kick!
Enako was born January 22, 1994 in Nagoya. She got interested in cosplay thanks to 2007’s The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and soon learned that she loved sewing costumes and putting photos of herself out for fans to see. She became one of the first professional cosplayers, earning more than $10,000 a month representing companies at events and selling self-published photobooks. Her income from cosplay and merchandise sales last year was over $500,000 despite the cancelation of the Comiket doujinshi event.
In this photobook, she expresses her love of BEASTARS, the outstanding anime based on the dark manga by Paru Itagaki that asks hard questions about what a society populated with both herbivore and carnivore animals would look like. The photos are all great, featuring costumes made by Enako herself. Best of all, each book comes with a random nama-jashin — a “raw photograph” Polaroid photo taken of the cosplayer, inside!
Enako is naturally an otaku, loving all things related to manga, anime and games. Her favorite anime is Code Geass.

We’re floored by the great work that J18 Publishing keeps doing for fans, pushing out yet another amazing translated + uncensored doujinshi, Akira’s Sexy Special Track and Field Club. It’s about a girl who wants to reach her true potential as a runner, but she needs some “special training” from her coach in order to make it happen. The book is in stock in San Diego now!
