J-List sister company J18 Publishing has really made a name for itself over the past few years, bringing out hundreds of incredible fully translated and uncensored doujinshi from Japan’s best artists for you, plus full-length hentai comics and amazing artbooks. Now, we’re finally taking the wraps off an incredible project called Doujin.io (link). It’s a free e-reader that lets you browse 120+ amazing uncensored doujinshi J18 Publishing has published on any device. Let’s learn more in this blog post!
It’s a very special time for us at J-List, because 30 years ago this week, we started the first anime and hentai shop selling to fans around the world. And we’ve been able to make it this far thanks to our wonderful customers. We’re celebrating with a huge 20% sale on all in-stock Japan products, through October 7th. Start browsing now!
The Doujin.io Free Doujinshi Reader Goes Live! How Does It Work?
The online e-reader — which has just entered the Public Beta phase — is accessible from anywhere in the world (except Japan) at Doujin.io. First, you have to confirm to us that you are 18 years of age or older, which is extremely important. Then, it’s time to make an account or log in if you already have one. If you have a Discord account, you can easily log in that way, too.
The site works well with any device you might be accessing it on, including a Mac/PC, laptop, tablet or phone!
The best way to browse works on the Doujin.io free hentai e-reader is by using the Discover tab, which shows you weekly highlights of the best books. You can browse artists and genres and read the credits to see who translated and edited it. If you want to connect with the production staff, or give them feedback or ask questions, they’re all hanging out on the J18 Publishing Discord server! Is there an artist you’re dying to have J18 publish in English? We’ll be happy to take any suggestions!
(You’ll also be able to support the artists you love financially. This is a pending feature that’s not ready yet.)
Browse Doujinshi by Tags, Too!
If you’re into certain specific fetishes — and who isn’t? — then click the Tags tab, and you’ll be shown the major tags you can browse works by. Want to sample some sexy, tanned Gyarus or maybe some Kemonomimi girls? It’s all here for you!
The navigation is quick and easy, too. When you open a book it will remind you of which direction the scrolling goes, and you can control it easily with any swipe (from a touch device), or a click (if using a mouse on a computer). Since you’ve got an account, you can like your favorite books and return to them easily, and help other fans discover great hentai.
Why is J18 Publishing Giving Away Doujins?
This is a fair question to ask! The answer is that J18 truly loves what we do, bringing the best hentai doujinshi and manga from the best creators in Japan to fans all over the world. We want you to look at our work and understand the amount of effort we put into every page, every panel, and why we want to be your hentai publisher of choice.

While some “Brand X” hentai companies are sloppy with their translations and leave the Japanese sound effects in katakana, J18 Publishing goes the extra mile for you. In addition to working with top translators, we hire graphic designers who bring every facet of the original hentai work to life for you in English, with the oversight and approval of the original artist. Just check out these panels above! (Click to zoom in on them.)
Since all J18 Publishing books are only in stock for a finite time, we think you’ll want to enjoy their amazing quality by buying the physicals before they sell out forever. You can find them on the Hmarket.io online store, and of course on J-List! There’s nothing worse than falling in love with a new artist but finding that his books have sold out and won’t be reprinted!
The Doujin.io hentai e-reader is in beta mode right now, so please keep that in mind while using the site. If you experience any bugs or display issues, please reach out to our staff on the J18 Discord server!
Thanks for reading this blog post about the new J18 Publishing free hentai e-reader Doujin.io (link). We hope you’ll make an account and come back to the site often to read your favorite books in digital form!
