Kiyotaka Ayanokoji eagerly enters high school, thrilled to enjoy a life of freedom. His “home life” wasn’t exactly ideal, and he needed to make friends and enjoy a life of peace. However, the Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing School isn’t exactly peaceful or harmonious. The cute schoolgirls might not make it any better, either. We’ll see how he faces the dark nature of school when Classroom of the Elite (Yokoso Jitsuryoku Shijoshugi no Kyoshitsu e) Season 4 premieres on April 1st, 2026.

Shogo Kinugasa and Shunsaku Tomose released the original Classroom of the Elite light novel between May 25th, 2015, and September 25th, 2019. Media Factory has published all eleven volumes in the MF Bunko J imprint. Yuyu Ichino provided the art for the manga adaptation, which debuted on January 27th, 2016. Media Factory has since published twelve volumes in Monthly Comic Alive. Studio Lerche’s anime adaptation premiered on July 12th, 2017.
Classroom of the Elite Cast
The unsuspecting ace student, a cute classmate, and a cute teacher are as follows:

- Kiyotaka Ayanokoji — Shoya Chiba (Yu from Fire Force). Kiyotaka’s uninterested slacker persona hides a great genius.
- Suzune Horikita — Akari Kito (Nezuko Kamado from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba). Suzune’s brilliance hides a soft nature.
- Sae Chabashira — Rina Sato (Chihiro Senkawa from The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls). Sae is an easily bribed, apathetic teacher.
Studio Lerche maintains a home page, a TikTok page, and a Twitter (X) page for promoting Classroom of the Elite. You can find more information about the series and the key visuals at those sites.

The Classroom of the Elite is Back in Session
Kiyotaka Ayanokoji is glad he can finally start high school. He was the only “graduate” of the clandestine White Room, a top-secret program to create superhuman agents. The Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing School has become his safe refuge from that awful place. Kiyotaka presents himself as a lazy slacker who can only skate by at the bottom rungs of the class. Naturally, he entered Class D, where the school’s “defects” go.

Suzune Horikita becomes Kiyotaka’s first new “friend.” She’s a very honest and solitary girl who believes she does not need friends. That doesn’t stop her from regularly hanging out with Kiyotaka. Indeed, these two will need all the help they can get as the school’s hidden darkness creeps up on them. The caste system is very unforgiving, and even cute, bubbly girls are known to lash out like true psychos. Thankfully, Kiyotaka has superhuman skills to keep himself going. Now, if only he weren’t an amoral guy who saw people as pawns.
