As the undead holy knight skeleton Arc, he’ll acclimate to his familiar settings with his cheat-like magic. His plan for laying low conflicts with his innate desire to play the role of a dashing wandering knight. We’ll see if this gaming isekai protagonist picks up a few waifus on his way to forging his legend when Skeleton Knight in Another World (Gaikotsu Kishi-sama, Tadaima Isekai e Odekakechu) Season 2 premieres sometime in July 2026.

Ennki Hakari released the original Skeleton Knight in Another World novel on the user-generated website Shosetsuka ni Naro from October 19th, 2014, to July 16th, 2018. KeG provided the art for the light novel adaptation, which debuted on June 25th, 2015. Overlap has since published ten volumes in the Overlap Novels imprint. Akira Sawano provided the art for the manga adaptation, which debuted on February 10th, 2017. Overlap has since published fourteen volumes in Comic Gardo. Studio Kai’s anime adaptation premiered on April 7th, 2022.
Skeleton Knight in Another World Cast
The titular undead warrior and two of his cute friends are as follows:
- Arc Lalatoya — Tomoaki Maeno (Veldora Tempest from That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime). Arc is a gamer from the modern world who awoke in a magical world as his game avatar.
- Ariane Glenys Maple — Fairouz Ai (Power from Chainsaw Man). Ariane is a dark elf and Arc’s firm ally.
- Chiyome — Miyu Tomita (Funifura from KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!). Chiyome is a ninja beast girl and Arc’s ally.

Skeleton Knight in Another World, an Undead Isekai Adventure
The unnamed isekai protagonist awoke in a familiar fantastical world. He pulled another all-nighter in his favorite online game, and now he’s in a world that closely resembles that game. He was pleased to see that he inherited his video game avatar and all his abilities, even if one or two of his skills didn’t work as they should. Taking the name of his in-game character, Arc sets out for adventure. His first port of call is to save a noblewoman and her maid from some bandits. They thanked him properly and traveled with him to the nearest town.
Arc will go on to meet other people, including the fantasy races he so desired to meet, so he could properly enjoy his isekai adventure. Despite wanting to lay low and live a regular life so people wouldn’t discover his skeletal form, Arc joins with Ariane to save her people from slavery. This meeting will have world-changing effects and will both start and stop numerous conflicts. Arc isn’t one of the limp-wristed isekai protagonists; he can get his hands dirty and do what he needs to do to villains.
