Like a Dragon: Ishin! (Ryu ga Gotoku Ishin! Kiwami or Like a Dragon: Restoration! Extreme) has officially launched early, for specific editions, on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, inviting Westerners into the world of 1860s Japan during the Bakumatsu (the end of the Edo Period). Those who bought the standard edition will still have to wait until February 21st to play this most anticipated of games. Nyatasha Nyanners loyalists also have reason to get excited.
Like a Dragon: Ishin! is a remake of the PS3/4 game Ryu Ga Gotoku Ishin! that was initially released on February 22nd, 2014. However, that game never left Japan. So, for the first time in history, fans in the West can join Sakamoto Ryouma on his quest for vengeance and truth.
Truth and Vengeance
Like a Dragon: Ishin! is about the story of Sakamoto Ryouma and begins just as he arrives at his home village of Tosa. There, the samurais maintain a rigid class system where anyone — except high-ranking samurais — is little more than a peasant waiting to be stomped underfoot. In this environment, Ryouma reunites with his adopted father and brother, who run the Tosa Loyalist Party, whose goal is destroying the class system and freeing the people from tyranny.
Very quickly, their plans are unraveled, and Ryouma is framed for the murder of his adopted father, so he flees to Kyo, modern-day Kyoto, using the alias Hajime Saito. It’s there that his journey truly begins.

Nyatasha Nyanners Enters the Fray
The beloved cat girl VTuber Nyatasha Nyanners — known for her love of the Yakuza series, even sometimes referring to her playthroughs as “Nyakuza Friday” — has finally become part of the in-game universe. To her delight, and the excitement of her fans everywhere, she became one of the notable streamers who received a cameo in Like a Dragon: Ishin! in the form of an “Elite General Trooper Card,” an assist equipment item that can turn the tide of battle. Considering her fans could amount to the size of an army, her gaining the title of “Elite General” is appropriate.
Her Elite General Trooper Card possesses the “Essence of Conquering,” which enables Sakamoto Ryouma, through Nyatasha Nyanners’s ability, to charm the vitality out of enemies to recover his own health. It is “extremely cute and powerful,” just like Nyatasha herself.
Nyatasha Nyanners loyalists would have learned this news a few months earlier when she did a reaction to the announcement trailer, showcasing the other cameo appearances in Like a Dragon: Ishin!.
Sega’s Twitter account confirmed the card bundle that includes Nyatasha Nyanners is free to download immediately. But such content isn’t available until chapter 5.
