An ancient evil once felled by five legendary samurai has returned. A new group of warriors must rise to continue the fight against the demon army. The first warrior to rise cloaks himself in purifying flames. We’ll see the new team unite to fight when Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers (Ronin Warriors) premieres sometime in January 2026.
Hajime Yatate created the original Yoroi Den Samurai Troopers anime series for Sunrise. The original series premiered on April 30th, 1988.
The Samurai of Flames is as follows:
- Gai — Hiiro Ishibashi (Yuga Oudou from Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens). The inheritor of the flaming Rekka armor and symbol of benevolence. Some say he has unusual tastes.

When Demons Invade, Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers March
This is a sequel decades in the making. Arago led his evil warriors to invade Earth thousands of years ago. The ancient warrior Kháos defeated him and banished him to the Nether World. Arago’s mighty armor is indestructible, so Kháos divided it into nine separate armors. Kháos kept five, while Arago managed to snatch the remaining four. Thus began the numerous battles between armored warriors with the fate of the world at stake.
The original five ronin warriors triumphed in battle against Arago and saved the world. However, that wouldn’t be the end of Arago’s evil. Dark warriors and structures burst into modern-day Japan, threatening the world once again. A new group of five armored warriors must unite to purge this evil from the land.
