There aren’t many series where a school’s prettiest girl works hard to win over a lucky guy. One beautiful school idol has a lot of work to do before she can win over a certain monk in Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms (Kuroiwa Medaka ni Watashi no Kawaii ga Tsujinai). We don’t have a premiere date yet, but we have a teaser trailer we can enjoy until then.
Ran Kuze released the original Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms manga on May 26th, 2021. Kodansha has published fourteen volumes in Weekly Shonen Magazine since then.
Our love-struck idol, the target of her affections, and a couple of friends are as follows:
- Mona Kawai. Mona is a school idol with numerous admirers. She discovers that her charms do not affect Medaka, which provokes her to win him over.
- Medaka Kuroiwa. Medaka is a monk-in-training at his family’s temple. Rules forbid him from falling in love with girls.
- Tsubomi Haruno. Tsubomi is one of the many girls who admires Mona.
- Asahi Shonan. Asahi is a star basketball player. She is one of the many girls who has fallen for Medaka.
SynergySP has maintained a home page and a Twitter (X) page to promote Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms. You can find additional series information and the Key Visuals there.
Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms, and That’s Going to Change
Mona Kawai is the girl every guy wants to be with and who every girl wants to be. This is simply a fact, and she knows it. What’s more, she takes pride in her beauty and charisma. Men and women alike fawn over her like a goddess. That’s why the new transfer student vexes her so. Medaka Kuroiwa is a stoic boy with an angry expression. He seems able to resist Mona’s attempts to charm him with little effort.
Medaka is a monk-in-training at his family’s temple. The masters there have forbidden him from dating girls. Mona’s attempts to charm him into liking her to cement her place as the idol everyone loves are to be resisted. A battle of wills unfolds on the school stage, with each combatant inching closer to an unexpected place.
