LasDan’s official Twitter account announced late last year that Toshio Satou’s light novel fantasy series, Suppose a Kid From the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town (Tatoeba Last Dungeon Mae no Mura no Shounen ga Joban no Machi de Kurasu You na Monogatari or LasDan for short) would receive a televised anime series, slated for October of this year. In addition to the announcement, the production staff and character cast were also announced.
Satou’s LasDan light novel series was the winner of the Grand Prize at the 8th GA Bunko Taisho in 2015. The series began with a print run by GA Bunko in February 2017, with illustrations by Nao Watanuki (the illustrator for Asura Cryin). The eighth volume was shipped out by SB Creative on November 15th of last year. Yen Press is publishing the light novel series in English. The series was delayed due to the pandemic and will instead air in January, 2021.
