A science experiment gave birth to human-animal hybrids dubbed “beastfolk.” Tensions remain high between humans and beastfolk. There’s some intermingling, but not on any significant level. That is until a dog boy transfers to a human high school and gets close to a human girl. We’ll see how interspecies relations change when With You, Our Love Will Make It Through (Kimi to Koete Koi ni Naru) premieres this fall 2025.
Chihiro Yuzuki released the original With You, Our Love Will Make It Through manga series on May 19th, 2021. Shueisha has since published eight volumes in Manga Mee.
Our star-crossed leads are as follows:
- Mari Asaka — Manaka Iwami (Linie from Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End). A human girl with no prior experience with beastfolk.
- Tsunagu Hidaka — Takuya Eguchi (Loid Forger from Spy × Family). A dog-type beastfolk who maintains his composure to foster positive coexistence.

Girl and Beast Boy, With You, Our Love Will Make It Through
Human experimentation has given rise to beastfolk, humanoid hybrid beings with animalistic traits. Tensions have been high between humans and beastfolk, but there are instances of comingling between them. A dog-type beastfolk hopes to achieve genuine coexistence by transferring to a human high school. Tsunagu Hidaka can keep his cool in most situations, which should aid in achieving his lofty dream.
Mari Asaka meets the new dog transfer student while making a mad dash to school. He unnerves her because she has never met a beastfolk before. She walked home in a daze after school, having been conscious of him all day. Mari watched some students hassle Tsunagu while he took the same route over a bridge. He hopped onto the bridge to avoid them entirely, but Mari was accidentally in his landing zone. Tsunagu chose to fall into the water rather than crush Mari. She ran down to help him out of the water. That started a series of events that ended with him showering at her place.
