The Spring 2025 anime season has officially started, and I’m already scrambling to follow several new series so I can recommend the best ones to you. One ecchi offering with a fun setup is Haite Kudasai, Takamine-san, or Please Put Them On, Takamine-san. Let’s look at this ridiculous show and see if it’s worth your time!

The Ridiculous Ecchi Setup of Please Put Them On, Takamine-san
What do you do when you make a careless mistake on a test, scoring 98 points instead of your usual 100? If you’re the perfectionist Madonna of the school Takamine-san, you start to pull your pantsu off right in the middle of class. This is because Takamine-san has a special power that allows her to rewind time by removing her underwear. Because anime!
We experience the story through the eyes of Koushi Shirota, an in-chara (“gloomy character”) who has no friends and no social skills. He was eating his lunch in the PE storage room when Takamine-san walked in, not noticing him. To his shock, she began removing her bra. This allows him to see the bare breasts of the most popular girl in school.
Because he saw her naked, Shirota is now tied to Takamine-san’s time travel ability and moves along with her whenever she rewinds time. Since he remembers her getting the 98 score on her test and removing her panties in the middle of class, he asks her about the incident. She tells him about her unique ability, and orders him to become her “closet,” carrying replacement underwear for her to put on after she uses her power. It’s the beginning of a strange relationship in which Shirota becomes the errand boy to the most beautiful girl in the school, eventually developing a close relationship with her.

One bit of good news is that this anime is airing internationally without censorship, meaning that fans can enjoy Takamine-san’s boobs without shadows, steam, or any other kind of convenient censorship to keep us from enjoying the story.
The animation is being done by LIDENFILMS, who brought us such gems as Tokyo Revengers, Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor, Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia, and Magical Sempai. The animation is solid and the visuals all enjoyable.
This Is an Anime for Masochists
Two kinds of fans should watch Please Put Them On, Takamine-san. The first will be perverted fans who like the idea of a busty girl who time travels by removing her panties, and the ways she uses this unique power to maintain her place at the top of the school’s pecking order. But the other kind of fans who will enjoy this anime are masochists. These fans would secretly like to have a beautiful girl dominate them and keep them in their place.
And Takamine-san definitely dominates poor Shirota. She requires that he be on hand to slip new panties on her every time she uses her time rewinding power. As she trains him to be the perfect “closet,” she can feel quite cruel at times. Which is why it’s surprisingly adorable when Takamine-san begins to fall in love with Shirota.
Why Some Fans Might Have Issues with Takamine-san
We all have certain emotional sore spots, uncomfortable scenarios we instinctively avoid thinking about. One of these is the painful idea of the girl we love being “stolen” sexually by someone else. This helps explain why so many fans have a strong aversion to NTR stories. Another deeply disturbing situation that no man ever wants to imagine is being falsely accused of sexual assault by a woman.
We encountered this kind of situation in The Rising Of The Shield Hero. When Princess Malty falsely accuses Naofumi of sexual misconduct, it ruins his reputation and causes endless problems for him. Fans responded to this scene by making Malty one of the most hated characters in the history of anime. They rejoiced when she got her comeuppance later in the season.
In this anime, Shirota tries to refuse becoming Takamine-san’s “closet,” so she resorts to an unwholesome tactic to force his cooperation. He’s faced with a choice: be accused of touching her inappropriately and risk arrest, or do as she says and let her reset time again. I wouldn’t be surprised if some fans are turned off by a character who could manipulate an innocent man like this. But I hope they give the show a few episodes. The strange relationship between Takamine-san and Shirota becomes quite charming as the story progresses.
