Genjitsu no Yohane: SUNSHINE in the MIRROR and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime are not strangers to weird and unexpected instances. These two isekai worlds collided recently in Genjitsu no Rimuru: Sunshine in the Slime Part 1. The likes of Yohane and Rimuru had a fated meeting and immediately compared parties. Part 1 is readily available on YouTube, though it is without subtitles. Part 2 is expected to premiere on Tuesday, July 18th, 2023.

Those interested in more information about those series can visit their home pages. The That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime home page chiefly promotes a singing Rimuru. Additionally, the Genjitsu no Yohane: SUNSHINE in the MIRROR home page still publicizes its series.
Team Yohane Vs. Team Rimuru Start!
Genjitsu no Rimuru: Sunshine in the Slime has a simple and comical premise. The chibi art style lends to the light-hearted tone of this ONA. The cast of Genjitsu no Yohane: SUNSHINE in the MIRROR encounters the cast of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime through unknown means. Ramiris is quick to point out that their parties are undeniably similar. There are demon lords, fairies, and large dogs among them. Moreover, Yohane has a childlike interest in a couple of them. To that end, the two parties then declared a contest.
The first combatants are Benimaru and Dia Kurosawa, whom the latter seems to transform into a Super Sentai. This is likely a nod to her voice actress Arisa Komiya, who previously worked on Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters. They have a quick meal together afterward.

Genjitsu no Rimuru: Sunshine in the Slime is a collaboration between the popular series Genjitsu no Yohane: SUNSHINE in the MIRROR and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. Fuse began writing That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime in 2013. Genjitsu no Yohane is a fantasy spinoff of the Love Live: Sunshine! series.
