Studio Passione has given fans of pink-haired anime girls and the foreign exchange market an update about FX Fighter Kurumi-chan (FX Senshi Kurumi-chan). They didn’t tell us much a few months back, but even that trailer had more to look at than this update. Passione has a good track record for this sort of anime: the money-making schemes of Yuri Is My Job! and the market’s inhuman dangers of Higurashi: When They Cry. This also proves that Japan can make an interesting anime out of anything, from geology to camping.

FX Fighter Kurumi-chan News, Cast, Staff
Kurumi-chan and her friends will take the foreign exchange market by storm sometime in October 2026. Yuki Ogawa sits as the director, Kenta Ihara wields the pen, Kazuyuki Ueda designs the characters, and Takuro Iga provides the epic anime music. Kurumi Fukuga’s voice actress, Aina Suzuki, is performing the ending theme “$・¥・€.”
Three of Kurumi-chan’s fellow FX fighters are as follows:
- Mochiko Kogane — Asami Seto (Frill Shiranui from Oshi no Ko). Mochiko is Kurumi’s academically gifted university classmate.
- Mebuki Yamashi — Ayasa Ito (Vivlos from Uma Musume Pretty Derby). Mebuki is another forex trader who teams up with Kurumi.
- Yasuko Takane — Miho Okasaki (Teruko from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba). Yasuko is an aspiring visual designer who previously ran a finance blog.
Studio Passione will animate the anime adaptation, which has an official website and Twitter (X) accounts promoting FX Fighter Kurumi-chan. You can find more information about the series and the key visuals at those sites.
FX Fighter Kurumi-chan Takes On the Foreign Exchange Market
I’m glad we got a new trailer for the series and learned the premiere date. Who’s interested in this forex-focused anime where cute girls take on the financial Powers That Be? I’m just a bit disappointed that the trailer was only a rundown of characters. Sure, I’m happy we learned who is voicing who, but that was it: a series of splash images. The original trailer, where we just learned who was voicing Kurumi, had some stuff to show, like that shot of Kurumi looking comically distraught.
Still, I’m keen to see how these creatives on the other side of the planet make foreign exchange trading seem interesting. Anime gods know a lot of people took geology and camping seriously after cute anime girls got involved with them. I’m also keen to see if pink hair power can overcome the ruthlessness that is financial trading. Remember: only gamble with the amount of money you’re prepared to lose. I hope this anime teaches that lesson. That and yuri. A yuri harem of forex traders. That’s one for the financial and history books.

University student Kurumi Fukuga has finally fulfilled her long-held desire of starting foreign exchange (FX) trading, motivated by recouping the 20 million yen her late mother lost in trading.
“I’ll easily make it back,” she thought, but the world she enters can become heaven or hell in an instant. Unrealized losses, loss-cutting, unstoppable fluctuations… but she still wants to buy, sell and make money!
With fellow FX addicts Mochiko, Mebuki and Yasuko along for the ride, the market heats up! Joy, despair, joy, despair — this is an endearing, yet slightly risky money game. Can Kurumi and her friends survive this turbulent world?
Demunyan and Daisuki Tansan released the original FX Fighter Kurumi-chan manga series on February 5th, 2021. Media Factory has published nine volumes in Monthly Comic Flapper.
