Manga Art Hotel 2

Looking for a different place to stay in Japan? A new capsule hotel located in Tokyo’s Kanda neighborhood is one of a kind. They do not only offer an affordable place for you to stay, but you’ll also be able to read a wide range of manga books in Japanese or English. With over 5,000 manga books available, it’s inevitable that you’ll have a sleepless night trying to finish off another classic series!

The amenities of this 35-guest capacity capsule hotel include free Wi-Fi, shower facilities, in-room safes, pajamas, slippers, hangers, and electrical outlets. Sleeping and shower areas for male and female guests are separated and located on different floors.

According to the staff of Manga Art Hotel, the massive manga collection is chosen based on its artistic value. To help you find the right manga series to read during your stay, the staff have prepared a review and recommendation guide to help you. The reviews are printed in both Japanese and English.

They’re also promoting the joy of reading physical copies of manga, as they’ve noticed that more and more people are reading the medium in digital format these days. “We want to provide our guests with the unique emotional experience born of reading manga on paper,” the hotel’s staff say.

If you get hooked on a manga series you discover there, you’re in luck, because all the manga in the hotel’s collection is also for sale! Reservations for the hotel are set to open soon and they’ll possibly be accepting guests starting in February. Their website is now up if you want more information.

With its unique set-up, it’s expected that the Manga Art Hotel will be in high demand among manga fans and otakus in the future.
