Fantastic Fondling Fun: A Game Review

Adrian S. by Adrian S.

Funbag Fantasy has to be the most blatantly named game I’ve ever played. A nukige visual novel developed by Waffle, Funbag Fantasy is a game that takes place in a fantasy universe, and every heroine is better endowed than the last. I’m not sure I would have chosen to translate the title the same way, but there’s no doubt that it’s true to the spirit of its original title, Kyonyuu Fantasy, and more than true to the game’s contents. There’s lots of funbag fondling fun to be had here.

While this game is a nukige, it’s surprisingly deep as a classic decision-based visual novel. There’s no gameplay to distract here, but there is a lot of stories. In fact, there’s so much story that despite the genre’s promise of common sex, there are sections that take quite a lot of buildup before there actually is any. Like most of the visual novels I prefer, this game has a series of routes for you to pursue, including a variety of endings. The longest route, essentially the main route, is built around a harem, but if that’s less to your tastes there IS an ending for each main heroine as well.

The basic idea of the game is that the main character, Lute, the worst knight in his graduating class, ends up having to subdue a succubus that’s causing problems. This succubus has already killed, but for some reason, Lute is able to subdue it, and the rest of the plot is driven from there. No matter the route, Lute has an enjoyable life waiting for him.

The game’s soundtrack is a step above typical visual novel fare, enhancing the setting as a medieval fantasy from the first few notes of its title image track. It’s UI is functional, and has a faint art style that also complements the fantasy setting. The sound effects are about what I expect from a quality VN as well, which is to say a cut above the most common examples (wet rubbing sounds come out particularly well), and the voice work really stands out for selling its scenes, sexual or not. Shamsiel, the succubus character, has a particularly sexy voice, and an amazing laugh.

But really, we’re all here for the art when it comes to game assets, and Funbag Fantasy doesn’t disappoint in the slightest. The character stills are good of course, and the scenery art is fantastic, but the real selling point is the scene art. Character art is excellent in scenes, with detailed clothing being shifted aside, bundled, and pushed around as just one good example. Lusty faces are common and enjoyable. And thankfully there’s no censoring to ruin it. Mosaics are less and less common for western releases nowadays, but I thought I’d mention it, since given the major paizuri fetish this game has, most censorship would ruin the experience.

That’s right, there’s a huge fetish in this game for breasts. Surprise! Well, it’s in the name, so I’m sure nobody is surprised to hear that titjobs are common here. Oral sex has a major presence as well, but if you’re looking for less common fetishes, this game won’t reward you. Actually, Funbag Fantasy is very vanilla. Though a bit of dominant-submissive stuff gets attention, and there’s a touch of bondage, most of the sex scenes revolve around enjoyment of the titular (pun definitely intended) breasts. In fact, large oppai get so much attention that the main people I’d suggest stay away from this game are people who are turned off by unrealistic quantities of breast flesh. Though its the women’s weight, given their assets, that I find unbelievable.

Remember how I said each woman’s breasts were larger than the last? I was barely exaggerating. When you’re introduced to each character properly, you get a stat box explaining details about them. For many characters that is basically their name, and occupation, but not for most women. This includes bust and cup sizes.

Here’s a taste of the four main heroines:

The first heroine you meet, Isis, is cold to you at first. She’s from Lute’s class, and she was much more talented than him. Once Lute starts proving himself she warms up a little, but her route is actually down a focused path where you are given opportunities for her to receive a little “hands-on” attention.

After Isis, you meet Roxanne. In the prologue, you won’t get any action with her right away, but there’s something about her dislikes that makes it pretty clear you won’t have to wait long.

Finally, that takes you to Lute’s fateful encounter with the succubus Shamsiel. A straightforward sort, Shamsiel knows what she wants, semen, and knows exactly how to get it. It’s not her fault that her search for nourishment leads to deaths.

There’s one last main heroine, Luceria, a princess. Lute doesn’t get his hands on her for quite a while, though he actually meets her (not knowing it) early on in the story.

Suffice to say, I think most people who are fans of visual novels can benefit from this one. I’m certainly thankful pioneers allowed these kinds of things to be published. The routes in this game are heartfelt, the scenes are excellent, and plentiful (you know what I mean), and the story buildup is enjoyable. It’s on the longer side for nukige too, which helps make it worth your money. Whether a fan of the story, fantastic tracts of land, or lots of sex, this game has serious value for a visual novel player.
