Kyouka lends Yuuki to Yakumo, and his reward broadens her romantic horizons beyond yuri.
Episode 3 — “A Storm Rolls In”
Hmm.
The third episode of Chained Soldier delivered the two things I had most wanted to see. First, what would Yuuki look like if Yakumo (with her wind-themed Peach Power) borrowed him from Kyouka? And second, what kink would Yuuki’s reward draw inspiration from?

As I noted in my last episode review, I love watching the creators’ imagination for how Yuuki’s appearance shifts based on the girl holding his chain. Kyouka’s base form looks downright dull compared to the others. I’m unsure how Yuuki’s rock golem theme suits Shushu’s scaling ability. But his mecha and high-agility modes for Nei and Himari fit perfectly. So, I was thrilled to watch how Yakumo’s wind-based skill gives Yuuki wings!
I liked how flying drained Yuuki’s energy. Chained Soldier, like other battle anime and manga, balances strengths and weaknesses to heighten drama. Until now, Kyouka’s Slave ability’s drawback served Yuuki’s changing kinks, but lending Yuuki to others creates dramatic tension in military confrontations. In Yakumo’s case, Yuuki can deliver a quick hit-and-run ambush but risks complications if the operation drags on. Yuuki’s character is a versatile plot driver.
Yakumo then paid the inevitable price for borrowing Yuuki. Again, Chained Soldier exploited Yuuki’s reward mechanic for several purposes. Number one, fan service. Yakumo has been the most hedonistic character we’ve seen, rivaling Tenka’s overt sexuality. Tenka is monogamous, though, pursuing only her future husband, while Yakumo builds a yuri harem. Then Yuuki turned Yakumo bisexual! However, disappointingly to horndogs in the audience, Yuuki’s kinky rewards are never as sexually explicit as we would expect a teenage male specimen to ask for. This episode explains that conundrum — Yuuki has a big-sister complex.
Fan Service as Narrative Devices?
Chained Soldier has always linked events and Yuuki’s relationships to his hope of rescuing his sister from the Mato. Aoba is ever foremost in Yuuki’s mind, shown through his Slave reward system scenes, where the kinky moments reveal his character growth and drive. Yuuki likened Yakumo’s big-sister role to his own sister’s touchy-feely nature growing up, explaining why he desired Yakumo to hug him as firmly as Aoba had.
Of course, adolescent hormones turn that wish into bare skin and nipples rubbing all over his body. Thank you, Chained Soldier, for all the fan service involving groping, rubbing, and humping. But recalling Yuuki’s memories of his sister and connecting them to Yakumo’s family circumstances serves an additional purpose.
Even in steamy scenes, the anime drives its overarching plot forward. Aoba needs a cure to reverse the effects of her Shuuki experimentation, corrupt Mato entities must face justice for crimes against humanity, and humans must confront the encroachment of the demon realm.
Who knew Yakumo’s stiff nipples and puffy crotch played such key roles in Chained Soldier’s story?
Chained Soldier Makes Me Say Heh.
Three-way Royal Rumble! Himari vs. Saki in a shooting contest. Sahara vs. Shushu in the wrestling ring. Nei and Kaiko meditate because they’re both in support roles. Nei has radar, but what’s Kaiko do? Meanwhile, Yuuki battles his chores! Yakumo enjoys the view of Tenka and Kyouka stretching their bazongas. When does Kyouka practice her Slave skill with Yuuki? Tomorrow! I can’t wait, and neither can Yakumo.
Saki coached Himari on aiming a machine gun. Um, aim it? Yachiho offered help as Himari’s big sister, but the little sister refused. No! Shushu and Sahara matched each other, move for move, in wrestling. How will Kyouka fare against Sahara? Chained Soldier provides no surprises because Kyouka’s superior martial arts training and experience prevail.
Let’s go! Tornadoes vs. Portals! Squadron Commanders Yakumo and Tenka going all out should be worth watching. Yakumo has creepy fingers! Which superpower holds the edge? Yakumo wields whirlwinds as weapons and shields, but she can’t sneak up on Tenka to grab her boobs from behind. Ah. Tenka figured out Yakumo’s intentions: make each other work up a heavy sweat so Yakumo can fondle her in the bath afterward. They’re dirty girls now!
The Housemother of Chained Soldier Dormitory
Yakumo wants to jump into the bath right away, but Kaiko won’t let her. Otherwise, she would “scar her cute face.” Ah. Kaiko heals using cocoons. But you must enter them naked! Under Ginna’s dome (see Chained Soldier S1, Episode 4), they wouldn’t worry about injuries, but I prefer this insurance policy. More nudity! Continued in the bath scene, but first, Nei needs encouragement. She thinks her radar skill isn’t as useful as Kaiko’s healing ability. I disagree. Yuuki has X-ray vision when she borrows him. However, mature Kaiko offers perspective — Nei’s talent can prevent harm coming to her comrades. While hers fixes them up if it does. They’re a perfect combo!
Enough of Chained Soldier’s heartfelt dialogue. Time for boobs! Sahara’s impressive pair draws Nei’s eyes like a magnet. Where’s Yakumo? Oh. Tenka and Kyouka tied her up, not trusting her in the bath around the other girls. Too handsy. Yuuki refused to untie her per Kyouka’s orders, but Yakumo doesn’t need his help. She’s an escape artist! Uh oh. Saki wonders why Yakumo is so quiet with naked ladies in the bath. Her leader should have already jumped on top of bare flesh.
The 5th Squadron Commander enjoys teasing and interrogating Yuuki way too much. She prefers girls but is curious about boys. Oh, this is bad news for Yuuki. Yakumo carries a big-sister air about her because she’s the eldest of many sisters. They’re all touchy-feeling and roughhouse a lot. Right. Yakumo only “plays” with Demon Defense Force soldiers. Chained Soldier reveals Yakumo’s best asset by wrapping it in chains on the intermission card.
Chained Soldier Takes On Risk-Reward Calculations
Gone too soon. Tenka’s crew heads off to their next round of the Royal Rumble with the 10th Squadron. Who is coming to replace them? But first, Yakumo wants to test Yuuki’s Slave powers. What does he look like for Yakumo? Yanking his chain gives him wings! He can fly! Fast! And even faster when Yakumo combines her wind power with his wings. I didn’t see a sonic boom, meaning they’re still slower than Ren. Yuuki spots Shuuki running around, supplying a chance to test his offensive capabilities. It’s also a chance for Chained Soldier to flash Yakumo’s panties again.
Oof. Yuuki’s flying form lacks stamina, while Yakumo is high energy and high maintenance. And the Reward Ritual has already started! Outdoor public sex fetish for these borrowers. Always a hint of danger in Chained Soldier because Shuuki could interrupt. What did Yuuki secretly crave from Yakumo? Was she only a situational lesbian because “No Boys Allowed” in the Mato? She’s bisexually curious! I love the part when the girls offer play-by-play commentary while they watch their bodies do perverted things for Yuuki. Har. Yakumo will even let him join her yuri harem if she likes touching him.
The answer to Chained Soldier’s pressing question: Yuuki wants boobs to press against him! Uh oh. Yakumo likes his reactions so much that she declares him a new member of her harem. Who’s rewarding whom here? I bet a session with Tenka plays out the same way for Yuuki. Aw. Yakumo’s memories of taking care of her sisters remind him of his big sister, Aoba. Rubbing, tugging, and licking — par for the course regarding Yuuki’s wish fulfillment.
Payday Loans in Chained Soldier Have High Fees
Jealous Kyouka is cute. Yakumo reports on the crash-and-dash nature of Yuuki’s speedrun form. Hit-and-run tactics would make the Yuuki-Yakumo combo’s best use case.
