Have You Heard that Even the Student Council Has Its Holes!?
Kashou has always been fascinated with the concept of anime student councils, for various lewd and non-lewd reasons. My university had a student council, and they excelled at ineptitude. The student body didn’t aspire to be them. We belted those douches with wet toilet paper… good times. Anime student councils are a different beast. If you’d switch the UN for an anime student council, we’d have colonized Mars by now. Anime student councils are the pinnacle of reliability, even if they’re an unhinged bunch like the Fujinari Academy’s student council from Even the Student Council Has Its Holes!.
Ume-kun is a textbook savant. He excels at literature, but his grades in other subjects are abysmal. So, to prevent him from failing, his teacher throws him into his school’s student council so its “brilliant” minds would rub off on him. Unfortunately for Ume, his school’s student council is filled with perverts and weirdos. And not the good kind of weirdos — it’s the ones you’d hide kids from. Yet despite their often obscene eccentricity, they’re still a capable bunch, so maybe they can be a good influence after all?
Manga Deets
Muchimaro writes and illustrates Even the Student Council Has Its Holes!. Weekly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha) has serialized the manga since its April 2022 debut. Kodansha has compiled the manga into thirteen volumes. Seven Seas Entertainment releases the manga’s English translation through its Ghost Ship imprint. Kodansha and Passione previously released an animated Even the Student Council Has Its Holes! video.
