Unfortunately, there will be no special guest appearance by Truck-kun. He’s probably isekaiing other protagonists right about now. Also, he can’t climb stairs, and this guy was in his apartment when he died.

The isekai protagonist and two of his cute friends are as follows:
- Zephyrus — Yuto Uemura (Amajiki Tamaki from My Hero Academia). Zephyrus is an avid gamer who now lives in a world based on his favorite game.
- Hanna — Ayaka Nanase (Mary Read from Fena: Pirate Princess). Hanna is Zephyrus’s childhood friend.
- Sierra — Kotone Izumi (Boy (ep. 87) from That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime). Sierra is a noblewoman and one of Zephyrus’s first friends at the academy.
Zephyrus will begin his next gaming life sometime in January 2027. Studio Massket is producing the anime adaptation, with Nagisa Miyazaki directing and Yūji Kobayashi writing the series. MindaRyn performs the opening theme song “Play the Play,” and LINKL PLANET performs the ending theme song “My Life Story.”

Reincarnation in the Game World Dan-Katsu and Venturing Out
Zephyrus (we never get his original name from Japan) is an avid gamer who has poured over 8,000 hours into his favorite RPG. Those are rookie numbers, man. He mastered every aspect of A Guide to Dungeon Job Hunting, or Dan-Katsu, to the point where his friends called him a guidebook. Naturally, seeing his save data corrupted beyond recovery shocked him and made him game over in real life.
It’s pretty dang fun to see him get excited by familiar sights and exploit his knowledge of the game to min-max his way into a legendary job class. He ended up part of the world, with a new name and even a childhood friend who was once a regular NPC, suggesting it’s not the original game he knows. Those changes are exciting to find, for both him and the reader/viewer. I’m eager to see where things go, and maybe whether he’s in the video game world or a world that closely resembles his favorite video game.

Dan-Katsu is a legendary role-playing game that allows you to play more than 1021 classes and has more than 400 possible endings! The more we delve into it, the more we discover new ways to enjoy it, new objects… A certain gamer (player name: Zephyrus) is reincarnated in the world of Dan-Katsu, of which he becomes the main character. Overjoyed, he joins the Labyrinth Academy, the place where the main story takes place. He quickly obtains the ‘Hero’ class, the best in the game, but discovers that the ‘Muscle Warrior’, a class considered ‘for fun’ where he comes from, is perceived in this world as a good class?! That the most difficult dungeons have never been conquered?! In other words… he will be able to enjoy this world as if it were a new game! Determined to show everyone what a good class is, he brings together classmates, allows his reserved childhood friend to become an Alchemist, transforms a selfish Princess into a Saint… Now that he has gathered powerful classes around from him, he is ready to conquer the dungeons!
Kaede Nishikigi released the original Reincarnation in the Game World Dan-Katsu novel series on the user-generated website Kakuyomu on January 3rd, 2021. Shuri provided art for the light novel adaptation, which debuted on March 10th, 2022. TO Books published sixteen volumes in the TO Bunko imprint. Hiroshi Asagi provided art for the manga adaptation, which debuted on April 25th, 2022. TO Books published five volumes in Corona EX.
